What I would try is to remove the device from the user you are using for Controlicz.
Sync devices on Google
Re-add the device with the right IEX to the Controlicz user
Sync devices again. (“ Hey Google sync devices” )

Indeed the plugin talks without problems to the hub and is also bi-directional, meaning if you switch manually, or via the app, domoticz also picks it up.
No need the connect the gateway to the Pi, just put it somewhere and via the App you configure WiFi access.

I bought the WOOX R7070 ZigBee Gateway hub (25€) together with 3 irrigation valves.

In the tuya app, first set-up the above gateway and then add the 3 valves. If you want to use the app as well, you need a firmware upgrade for the gateway, perhaps good to do anyway.

Finally, not so complex, just removed the devices in the settings/devices menu. Ensure "Allow new hardware is on" et voila.... a while later it was back. Re-added the device to my dashboard.
