Re: Why is my fridge not a Faraday cage ?
I have the Fibaro "Eye" in my fridge. In my living room I feel kind of watched by this thing. In the fridge it reminds me to don't go to the fridge to often and besides I can get the temperature graph of the fridge. Z-Wave Range from inside the fridge is not too good but it is enough to connect to ...

Re: New Raspberry PI on the way
One small problem could be that a power supply of 2.5A is recommended. All Power Supplies I know currently know or own have 2A or 2.4A. In a large online-shop I checked only 4 out of 500 power supplies provide the 2.5A on one USB port. But I think the numbers of strong power suppliers will grow with ...

Math Libraries for Blockly
It would be very nice to have some mathematical calculations in Blockly. This is used in lots of other Blockly Examples but just outside of Domoticz https://developers.google.com/blockly/ https://blockly-demo.appspot.com/static/demos/generator/index.html https://blockly-games.appspot.com/ For the ...

Re: Calculate Hours a device has run
I think you could archive the same in a blockly script. How would you increase a user variable in a blockly script?   You're right. I've never used calculations in blockly before but I didn't expect that you can't increase a number in blockly. Is that really not possible to do ...

Re: Calculate Hours a device has run
What the script does is to check every minute if the device is on. If this condition is true and the device is on, it increases a user variable by 1. The second part checks if the user variable is higher than amount of minutes before replacing the filter I think you could archive the same in a ...

Re: zwave-temp-sensor for £10?
If you use switches or dimmers from qubino you can connect an temperature sensor in this price range to the switch.
The big advantage is that it is powered. I hate to change (and pay) batteries

Re: How to control Domoticz over 3G?
If your Router supports this functionality, I would recommend to set up a VPN.
With the VPN you "dial in" to your home network and if you're connected you can use it as you were at home without forwarding ports for everyone.

Devices Overview
Sorry my maybe stupid question but I'm new to Domoticz. I tested a couple of other controllers before but my general Z-Wave and Home Automation KnowHow is still to small. Is it possible to get a better overview about new devices? If I add a new ZWave Node I get between 5 and 15 new devices. Some of ...
Re: Qubino
Thanks for all your Feedback.
I think for this time I'll stay on the safe side and use Fibaro.
In the moment it's to risky for me to order more than 20 Components let them install to find out that they don't really work.
Maybe if I need some single components after that I'll give Qubino a chance.

You could use a Z-Wave Switch to set something on Fire

Qubino
I'm planning Z-Wave project for my new house and I think I would control it from my RaZBerry with Domoticz. Because of the low power consumption and the possibility of temperature measurement I'd like to do it with Qubino Products but I'm not sure about compatibilty. Two of my three selected ...
