Re: domoticz compared to homeassistant
I've been using domoticz for over 8 years. I'm baffled by the great amount of people calling it stable. 4 out of 5 updates resulted in a crash and complete reinstall. (not much work with a recent .db file, but still, always afraid to update). Once a failed zwave switch destroyed my whole config ...

Re: Python Plugin: LG Smart AC (SmartThinQ)
Strange thing. If I use it outside Domoticz , it works fine python3 example.py -c NL -l en-US ac-config <MY_DEVICE_ID> supported_operations: [<ACOp.OFF: '@AC_MAIN_OPERATION_OFF_W'>, <ACOp.ON: '@AC_MAIN_OPERATION_ON_W'>, <ACOp.RIGHT_ON: '@AC_MAIN_OPERATION_RIGHT_ON_W'>, <ACOp.LEFT_ON: '@AC_MAIN ...

Re: Python Plugin: LG Smart AC (SmartThinQ)
Got my LG PC18SQ today, so really keen on adding it to domoticz. Everything went wrong, trying to get python to work so I did a fresh domoticz install. (thank goodness I've got DB backups). I did end up with raspian lite bullsey & python 3.9.2 though after a fresh raspbian/domoticz install on my ...

Re: Lidl now also sells Zigbee smarthome devices
Can Domoticz talk to this unit? Not yet I guess. I hope someone will take the time to support this gateway. I was hoping that it was just a rebadged unit that was already supported. I don't think that's the case. Only thing I found out so far is that the gateway responds to ports 2333, 6668 and ...

Re: Lidl now also sells Zigbee smarthome devices
I ordered mine yesterday as the black-friday price is already in effect.
Approx 50 euro for the kit with 3 lamps, gateway & remote. 13 euro for a door-sensor
Anxious to find out how to make it play nice with domoticz...

Re: KNX interface
Got my SM card reader today. The SM card has a view .bin files: CONN_000.BIN INST_000.BIN CHAN_000.BIN PROD_000.BIN CONFIG.000 Is this something that ETS would read? I'd say no if I check this link: https://www.knx.org/ie/software/ets/manufacturer-product-databases/index.php USB stick looks ...

Re: KNX interface
Perhaps there is a usb stick somewhere with the project file in the utility closet?? ... Found it, unfortunately it's a 16MB SmartMedia memory card that fits a hager TX100 programmer. Luckily, my friends from aliexpress have a card-reader that also reads SM for just €8.51. I'll be back in a few w ...

Re: KNX interface
..... No trying to be negative about domoticz but why not use the KNX(RF)? add a new IP Gateway like xxter or Pairott and your off to go! I hope ou got the KNX Project file with the purchase of the house.. Thanks for the heads up. In my current house I use z-wave stuff & domoticz. In the new house ...

Re: KNX interface
If not, then I am!
I just bought a house that turns out to be loaded with hager knx-rf switches which I'd love to control via domoticz.
But trying to search KNX is already near impossible
So sharing any KNX-RF related knowledge would be welcome.

Re: Rpi 1 B running out of date?
What can I say, when I started with domoticz I used a pi1B, which did work, but it quickly ran out of memory. Especially when I tried Siri integration. Bought a pI2 and never looked back. For a mere 32euro you can buy a Pi3 today (they still have so-called black-friday prices at sossolutions ) Edit ...

Re: inclusion of Minimote
I too cannot change 250 to scene, tried it for months. However! Did a reset of the minimote again today and a new inclusion. Again setting 250 to scene does not work. So I just tried to add a button to a scene and it works! With 250 still on group. I have a scene where the TV and the setup box are ...

Re: the best computer for domoticz???
Yes indeed, Pi2. Best bang for the buck ever.gizmocuz wrote:just get yourself a raspberry pi 2 and you be fine
Domoticz already runs ok on the old Pi, Pi2 is almost overkill. Can't beat it.

Re: Siri / HomeKit support for Domoticz
Any successful installs on a Pi model B (the 1, not the 2)?
npm install just hangs for more than an hour and than says "killed"
No way of logging on to the pi in the mean time.
I followed the wiki to the letter.
TIA

Re: Siri / HomeKit support for Domoticz
Really, really cool! Sounds promising! I tried to install it, but failed so far. NPM isn't working for some strange reason (I already responded at your post @Tweakers). Would love to get this to work, on my raspberry pi with razberry 2. but I think I have the same problem: wget http://node-arm ...

What worked for me is move the Pi really close to the switch.
Same issue with other Fibaro stuff.
I had to try as many as 15times to get the 221 included.
