@jochem: For now I won't do version numbers. If people have issues, the first thing they should do is upgrade to the latest version. Since a theme is just CSS and Javascript there is no risk to your system in upgrading.

A new version has been uploaded that should fix the bugs.

FIXES
- sometimes an empty right column when using vertical columns.
- dataviz doesn't re-scale when the page does
- webcam popup too small

IMPROVEMENTS
- bigger setpoint buttons everywhere
- mobile design on dashboard is more in line with the rest of the theme.

QUESTIONS
- how are remote control popups now? The grey issue is hopefully fixed.

Almost perfect for me now, thx :-)

One small issue I still see, when the title is too long for a sensor, it overlaps with the value on the temperature tab, can't the values be put on another line like on the dashboard ?

Another small issue on my iPad, thermostat buttons are overlapping the title when having a long title, maybe adding more space between the title and the buttons ?
Same for other titles which are too long.

If I view in Google Chrome ,the site looks perfect.
In Edge I cannot change something , If I change it's looks good but if I save it looks as before.
If I change in Edge and I look in chrome then It's changed.
If I delete the cache from Edge it has no effect.

A very reasonable question.
Another way of thinking to solve your issue is: do you need the word thermostat in the title? The combination of icon and up down already implies a thermostat function.

I use dashticz and deleted quite some of these 'over logic' words, like 'living room lights' -> 'living room' since there was already a lightbulb icon besides it.

I've uploaded a new version. It should hopefully fix the remote control display (I can't test these myself unfortunately). And it fixes a bug where it doesn't store the theme settings if there are no user variables already.

@rhendriks: can you
- upgrade to the latest version
- clear browser and application cache
- then look in the console and Edge and check if you have any error messages? (right mouse button on the page -> inspect element -> console)

@bdormael: make your names less long :-) The HTML output of Domoticz only allows me to do so much.

@rhendriks: thanks for the detailed response!

- This was interesting:
https://stackoverflow.com/questions/164 ... l-files-no

Some questions:
- Did you install the theme by copying it to a Pi from Windows? Perhaps then it's a permissions problem.
- Does this only happen on Internet Explorer, or also other browsers?

@bdormael: make your names less long :-) The HTML output of Domoticz only allows me to do so much.
Shortened my names (was a lot of work because they are all used in dzvents scripts), so all is ok now.

I also combined my thermostat with my temperature sensors into one so eg. "Living - Temperature" & "Living - Thermostat", some of my Temperature sensors have temperature & humidity in it, then the combination of Temp & Therm does not work, they keep seperated.

So to summarise:
1 sensor : "Living - Temperature" which is temp & humidity
1 sensor : "Living - Thermostat"
Will not show up as 1 combined block because the temperature has 2 values and it looks like it doesn't know which one to take to show.
When adding a switch in that same combination (eg. "Living - My Switch") which comes alphabetically before the temp sensor, then it works fine.

Request :
- I'm using vertical columns enabled, but by combining temp with therm sensors, the third columns is empty now, cant' we hide this column if there are no sensors to show so the other sensors are stretched out ?

I think it's weird because the first time I instal the aurora theme it works fine .
If I use other themes they work .

@rhendriks: I suspect it's a permissions problem. The pi won't serve the files from the theme. Those two files are the (custom.css and custom.js) are the core starting file for any theme.

To fix it, delete the folder, and download the theme from on the pi itself.
Or change the permissions of the files (chmod).

@bdormael: As you can read on the settings page, the merging option only merges 'simple' items. Items with more than one output, or items with buttons and sliders, they are not merged.

The option to merge temperature and weather is designed to remove a vertical column, so that the vertical columns feature can work on smaller screens. It does not leave behind an 'empty' column. So I wonder what is going on.

Aurora theme - Events page

Post by htilburgs »

Nice to see that the theme is published and making a lot of progress.
I've an issue with the events page. I don't like the main menu or the settings menu as a sidebar, so I switched this option off.
When I go to my Events page, to create or edit events, the top part of the screen is 'hidden' under the main menu.
Can this be corrected?

I have no weather sensors and the tab weather is also not enabled. What I mean is to hide the utility column as my thermostats are merged with temperature, now it still shows the utility column without anything in there

I delete the folder in "styles" , download the theme again and it's working.
Maybe the new download is the solution.
I have now only the problem with the two colums instead of tree.
