Did you try to use different web browser, for me this was not working with internet explorer, but with chrome no issue. I was able to upgrade firmware without any problems.

UPDATE! I have the same issue with 2.4020 after a reset of my browser. Went back to stable release 2.3530 and it's ok again. I think this is a bug in domoticz beta source. For testing I downgrade fw version to 249, did restart of synology couple times and still the same problem.
