Re: Easiest way to migrate Openzwave to ZWave-JS-UI

Sometimes I hate open source. If one developer has no longer fun, the project is dead. Software communism not always works. Did you sponsor the original developer by any means? Even in communism era everybody had to work and that with only a mediocre outcome. IMO there are 3 options for you: - Add ...

Re: can dashticz run on very old Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 ?

Is there a way to get a dashtic dashboard (just one page) run on a very old Samsung Galaxy Tab 3? I can type the URL and it shows "dashtics is starting" but then nothing. If not possible, anyone with experience hacking such a device so you can install and run python programs on it? I want to use ...

Thank you for your feedback. I think the newer version of python belongs to Debian bulseye and the 3.7.3 to buster.

Re: Python Plugin: Smart Virtual Thermostat

I am on a very recent 2023.2 beta and have no trouble.
What does the log say when you disable/enable the svt hardware?
Do you see a working python in the 'about' of Domoticz? Mine says python 3.9.2

Re: Python Plugin: Smart Virtual Thermostat

I wonder if it has to do with the new domoticz 2023 version which requires login. Could it be that the plugin is not allowed, or set up to do that? I am still on an older beta version (2022.2)... OK, I think I know where the problem is (not how to solve it, since my coding skills are limited and ...

Re: Thank you. Domoticz (with OTGW) saved the day.

Today the water pressure in my central heating did this.... a drop from 1.8 to 0.7....and I got a nice email warning from Domoticz as configured. So I could spend the afternoon to find the leak and fix it, instead of ending up in a cold house. Thank you !! Screenshot 2023-02-06 175139.jpg Nice. In ...

Re: planning battery charging/discharging with hourly electricity prices (now incl solar)

Thanks for the hard work! I reviewed your documentation and I have 1 point of improvement:
Add units to your explanation of variables: I assume that battery capacity is in Wh, charge speed is in W, angle is in degrees etc. Just to be sure.

I also tested the knmi. It works fine. I found these differences with OWM, while having taken over all the same parameters:

The description is not available
Wind force is visible, but not wind direction.

What I have done last year to improve svt drastically: -Rounding at 3 digits -reduce the average of 50 values to 25 -Cutting the calculation cycle in half when there is no heading in the previous cycle -redefine the constC and T values: At the end of an heading cycle, I recalculate these values ...

Re: OpenZWave removed from build checks

With Mqtt I never have any issue with zwave. With ozw I had infrequent errors that a node was dead.

It is a learning curve, but the results are good!

When doing a restart of Domoticz, switching Z-wave devices isn't working. Any idea why this is happening and how I can keep the switching of Z-wave devices ...

Nice, for me it is also a learning curve, since I originally developed the script for my own situation. Preventing errors due to user mistakes, takes about as many lines as the primary code :-)

Re: LUA – Virtual Solar Battery: simulate the presence of a battery for storing harvested solar energy

Oops, I only see now that you shared your user variables as well and there I see the problem: you chose an inverter capacity of 0 Watt. This means that your 'battery'won't be charged or used. If you don't want to deal with limitations to the amount of power that can flow from and to the battery ...
