Re: Raspberry & 5GHz-WiFi
USB adapters for 5 GHz are accepted by the Raspberry PI OS, for all models. Check ARM V7 Linux support

Re: Update to new version
Do not forget other parts of your system. E.g. if you use MQTT that should also be installed. Plugins to consider. So make a list of what you use now and how it supported with the newer version (e.g. Autodiscovery MQTT versus the zigbee2mqtt plugin). Also RPi hardware upgrade? Think about SSD boot ...

Re: eMMC an alternative memory-medium?
eMMC via USB is an option for a Raspberry Pi that seems to work as boot and data device on the Pi 4.
Is it worth the price? I went the SSD way with many Pi 4's now and that operates fast and reliable.
I have no experience with the CM4 with eMMC variant of the Raspberry Pi.

Sounds familiar to my experience with the Lidl Smart Switch. Same Zigbee2MTT setup. Behaviour is the same, not of any use in Domoticz as is. See https://www.domoticz.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=294880#p294880 It seems you need to write scripts for it. See https://www.domoticz.com/wiki/Dummy_for ...

LIDL Smart Switch, how to see off state?
I have a LIDL Smart Switch, type Lidl HG08164 Shows up fine after pairing in ZIGBEE2MQTT. In zigbee2MQTT I can see using the button, action "on" = single click, action "off" = double click. That looks fine, it reports this OK. In Domoticz with zigbee2mqtt plugin the device appears as Silvercrest ...

Running without hickups on a Raspberry Pi 4, with USB 3.0 to SSD controller (ASmedia type) and a small SSD, official power supply, Buster OS. Zigbee USB stick, P1 meter USB, rflink Arduino, ethernet and Wifi. Well ventilated case (3d printed), placed in 'meterkast', never seen overheating/throttling ...

Re: Zigbee2mqtt-plugin update error
You will need just released Domoticz 2022.1 for the latest zigbee2mqtt plugin, see the github issues. Or fallback to an older version of the plugin if you do not want to upgrade Domoticz. To avoid the errors you have now, stop Domoticz, remove the whole plugin folder, do a fresh plugin installation ...

Re: Python plugin for Goodwe - local lan via udp
Good question!
I would love also to replace the web based currrent plugin with a (more reliable and no external dependent, SEMS portal is sometimes slow) with a local one.

Re: Issues with Zigbee2MQTT setup
The TI CC2531 USB stick is working fine in Zigbee2MQTT for many . Not the best solution nowadays it seems (range, limitations) but cheap, and if it works it works. What is Raspbian 10 ? On Raspberry Pi OS, use Buster Lite, that is the name and version that works fine with Domotzicz. Did you perform ...

Re: Issues with Zigbee2MQTT setup
On what hardware? Since you talk about Raspberry Pi Imager may I assume a Raspberry. It works fine on Raspberry PI OS Buster Lite (long term support version now) with the Electrolama zig-a-zig-ah! (zzh!) CC2652R stick . I have also good results with (non-zigbee) FTDI based RS232 dongles on Raspberry ...

Re: SD to SSD
In case you did not know the official Raspberry Pi USB-C charger is 3A, and they all come from China. And it works fine with a Raspnberry Pi 4 with SSD and some USB devices. Besides the Domoticz system I have an OpenVaultMedia NAS with a 2TB WD SSD and the Raspberry Pi powersupply, no problems at ...

Re: SD to SSD
Not true, most RPi's and small SSD's run fine without external power supply and are very fast and reliable. And other USB devices? I have two more, the zigbee stick and a RFlink. Do not over engineer! See what power is needed for an SSD, just to get an idea: https://www.anandtech.com/show/8747 ...
