Re: Controlicz - Domoticz to Google Home/Assistant integration
Do I understand this right that to be able to use Controlicz with for example Google Home you give Controlicz full access to your home automation installation or is it only the parts you grant it to access? Hi - it doesn't need admin rights to Domoticz, and it's written so that you have to use ...

Re: Comparison with custom sensor value is not working
Else if does not work as they should period.
However you can of course use them as stacks of if:s...if that is what you want.
In the first example above both the if and else if will be executed if the value is above 2,5 and I do not think you want that.

Re: Comparison with custom sensor value is not working
I’m not sure what you mean but that script will probably not work as you think since ”else if” statements are borked in Blocky. It’s like stacking if:s in a row and I doubt anything will be fixed regarding that any day soon since it been there since the introduction. So stay away from else ifs...or u ...

He, i have one virtual switch for my smartphone and one for my wifes smartphone. if one of us is at home (connect with the wifi) the virtual switch turns on. Now i want a variable that goes to "1" if one of the two virtual switches is on. and when both virtual switches are off (so we are not at ...

Re: Lux sensor triggers all "If else" but should only trigger one
Maybe a hijacking of the thread but does anyone know why the else if bug never is fixed? There are two control cmds in Domoticz and one of them doesn’t work... This might sound very ungrateful but that is not my purpose I just want to know why there doesn’ t seem to be any interest at all to solve th ...

Re: Blocky script doesn't work like expected...
Hi Spitfire, Now I got it. This explanation is clear enough. And damn ;) you are right, I think either the name "ELSE IF" , or the interpreter is wrong. The IF.... ELSE IF acts as 2 separate IF statements (nested IF). If the IF statement is reached it should never reach the ELSE branch. Yes, spot ...

Re: Blocky script doesn't work like expected...
Hi Spitfire, do you have an example that shows what you're trying to tell. Sofar I haven't had any issues with blocky inside domoticz, beside a missing "else". However I do admit that I've added custom vars, to exclude accessing the else-if. But this is mostly done because there is no ELSE possible ...

Re: RE: Re: Blocky script doesn't work like expected...
Domoticz blocky 'else if' handling is broken. Nothing should be run after a condition has been true. AFAIK it's been broken since day one... And yet so many of us are using Blockley successfully since day one. Different .... maybe, unusual ..... possibly, broken .... no, because it does work. It's ...

Re: Blocky script doesn't work like expected...
Blockly runs every 30 seconds. You need to build a condition, like cust var, to avoid a blockly will execute again. If what you're thinking is true every blockly would only execute once, which is not the case. Not sure if this was adressed to me but if so I'm talking about the fact that in an if ...

Domoticz blocky 'else if' handling is broken. Nothing should be run after a condition has been true. So avoid using blocky in cases like this use lua instead.

Yes, dont use blocky for "else if" handling, it's broken. You can do work arounds but it's not worth it.

Yes, it' s strange that an obvious bug like this isn't taken care off. Add to that...it would be nice if "Else" was implemented.
