Connect KaKu modules without a remote
Hi There,
I use to have a Kaku remote, and connected all my devices with the learning mode from Domoticz after pairing the remote with a kaku module.
Quick question:
Remote died, and i don''t want to by a new one. I believe it's possible to pair rfxcom/domoticz with kaku modules without the remote. Anyone can give me a quick hint on how to do this?
Thanks in advance.

Sure thats possible...
From the switches page, click on 'Manual Light/Switch',
and specify:
- the correct hardware (rfxcom),
- name
- switch type: On/Off
- protocol: AC
- Enter a unique ID, like 1 23 45 67
- unit code (1)
Now set your kaku in learn mode (for instance plug it into the power)
now press the TEST button in domoticz, and it should be paired
Next save your switch by clicking 'Add Device'

Quick follow-up question:
I have a KaKu wall-switch (double) http://www.klikaanklikuit.nl/shop/nl/du ... awst-8802/
Is it possible to let Domoticz do an action once, one of the buttons is pressed? So instead of pairing the switch directly to a KaKu module, let Domoticz do something once on of the buttons is pressed?
Thanks in advance.

Yes, make a group, learn (pair) the switch in the group, and define an action via domoticz for the group switch.
I use this method to switch on zwave via kaku switch.

Re: Connect KaKu modules without a remote
Thanks for this post. Got my kaku switches today. Was wondering how I was going to get them paired. After about 3 minutes of scratching head I googled and found this post. Very helpful and my switch worked first time.

Re: Connect KaKu modules without a remote
This is the easies way of adding the switches, but.....I can't anymore. I thought I had a broken switch, but a second and a third can't be added as well. I allowed new devices for 5 minutes, set the AC protocol and chose a random code to add them. When I hit the TEST button, it should 'click', but nothing happens. Weird.

Re: Connect KaKu modules without a remote
Try with 1005 firmware.
If no response from the module it is possible that all 6 remote slots in the module are already used. Reset the module and try again.

I just discovered that the slots were taken. After a reset everything went fine. Thanks
