cannot see z-wave devices

Post by course66 »

Hi,
I installed an Aeon USB Stick Gen 5 on the raspberry pi 2, after having linked it to the Stick the Fibaro motion sensor. Domoticz firstly saw both the Aeon and Fibaro devices within the Aeon Stick setup page, but couldn't see the parameters (light, temperature and so) related to Fibaro device on devices page. After a domoticz upgrade the setup button on domoticz is red

and the device setup page is empty

I did stop and started again domoticz without solving this issue.
can anyone tell what should I do?

thanks and ciao,
gabriele

Does the domoticz.log show any errors?

Well your domoticz.log should at least show the startup messages and for z-wave the devices it found in the config.

Hello,

Devices 43 and 44 are your fibaro's sensors (their ID's are 000002xxx, and 2 is the fibaro's node number).

why fibaro sensor appear as two switches when it is a there-in-one sensor (motion, temperature and light)?
what should I do (apart click on green arrow)?
I also see some strange devices related to rpi2, could be from Fibaro sensor?

First follow the following guide so the ZWave stick will always have the same USB port number after reboot.
http://www.domoticz.com/wiki/PersistentUSBDevices

Second remove the 'SBFSpot' hardware in your hardware list. This gives the 'wrong' devices in your list.

I'm getting your suggestions. I'll try. Unfortunately now I'm out of home and mydomoticz is not working (for me).

Hi bbqkees,
I removed Aeon, made Aeon persistent on usb, deleted SBFspot, re-booted, connected Aeon hardware to new USB port.

Did you try to exclude and re-include the device?

Disable polling for the motion sensor, wake up the sensor by 3x clicking the include button and filter under Devices for Aeon or '00002' and see what shows up. The logging tells you that the Temperature and Luminance nodes are added. :)

Hi,
Any news on this? Did you find a solution to the problem?

I have the same situation, installed a z-wave sensor (Secure) with 2 probes for tubes temperature measurements, so a total of 3 measurements in the same sensor and even if at the device registration shows in the log the fact that the sensor has different temperature registers I can see only one device in the setup/device menu and indeed receive only measurements for that device.

I can see the channels in the control panel but not as devices in domoticz.

My setup is domoticz with Synology NAS and the USB z-wave key.

Thanks for your help.
