Re: domoticz in synology as package! Available now.
I have a very weird issue with the domoticz package for the Syno.
I have a syno DS411+II and can install the package without issues. Package starts and you can select hardware and change settings etc.
BUT........ When i restore a database using the settings page then I cannot use the package anymore.
All the hardware options are gone, only blanc empty line, the settings are messed up , language Arabic etc instead of english.
When the database is restored the first time it all looks fine the sensors and switches are visible and hardware is visible.
But the minute you click on something to change it all is gone and messed up.
Any ideas how this can be? The backup of the database comes from a RPI2 with domoticz version V2.3799 Build Hash: 70987e6
So restoring a working DB messes everything up
Here are some screen to make things more clear and hopefully a solution is out there

Sorry the last part is this III
Last picture..
Sorry for the huge post but I wanted to make myself as clear as possible
However I see the order of the pictures is not how I added them, so it is not in that specific order, but the text under the pictures explains the screens and the moment of time.

I don't have a solution, but can add to this issue that I too have a strange restore problem; I tried to import a backup from my Windows test DOmoticz enviroment to my Synology setup... and discovered that the backup from the Windows system was 0 bytes.

Hello Jumbotroll
If you build spk Domoticz maybe you also try build OWFS as SPK for Synology to run working 1wire by USB on Domoticz by Synology ? 1wire need OWFS to read data.

I've taken a look at this and it is not an easy job to implement this for all the different architectures for the moment and I do not have much free time to work with this atm.pepeEL wrote:Hello Jumbotroll

We'll see later if I get the opportunity to work with it .

Hi Jumbotroll
i love your packages, real easy and works instantly(also after rebooting)
one question however: im am thinking about buying a 716+
can you tell me if you have packages available for this nas also, if not which of the current ones will work since it has a different intel cPU
thanks again

That's the first time I install Domoticz on my NAS
I've found an issue in the package "start-stop-status" script.
the "su -" at line 44 should be changed to a simple "su".
Forcing a login shell may have bad side effects on users (that was my case) who have customized "/root/profile" and/or "/etc/profile".
With this simple edit, the package now starts normally on my configuration.

Re: domoticz in synology as package! Available now.
I tried to install Domoticz on my DS414, but without success.
I am running the DSM 6 beta OS, so that might be the cause of my problems. I have two issues:
1. I am not able to use the http://jadahl.dscloud.me/sspks/ package source. When I add it to the settings and try to update the available packages, my NAS pops up with the error that there was a network problem and that I must check my network settings. The network connection however is OK;
2. When I download the package for the DS414 manually and do a manual installation, the installation goes fine, but I am not able to start Domoticz after the installation. There is no error message at all.
Does anybody have experience with this package in combination with DSM 6 beta?
Thanks in advance!

Re: domoticz in synology as package! Available now.
I finally solved my EnOcean problem with Domoticz (which was linked to a USB device conflict with an old install of PulseStation).
Everything is now working fine (RFXCom, EnOcean, Zwave) but I still have a remaining problem: when I try to reboot or shutdown my Synology (DS214), it stays stucked forever with the blue led blinking. Nothing happens if I push the power button a few seconds to force the shutdown. The only way to stop it is to unplug the power cable (not nice). After replugging the power cable and power it on again, it starts up with no problem...
I face this issue since I started using the Domoticz package.
Does anyone also face this issue and found a workaround to it?

I've never heard others have this problem , but have you tried to stop domoticz in package manager before a restart ?hal9001 wrote:I finally solved my EnOcean problem with Domoticz (which was linked to a USB device conflict with an old install of PulseStation).

Re: domoticz in synology as package! Available now.
@jumbotroll, thanks for the updates that keep on coming for Synology
One question, since a recent version there is a LUA editor in Domoticz available. This editor has some example scripts available when you select LUA and press new.
These examples are stored in scripts/templates (https://github.com/domoticz/domoticz/tr ... /templates).
Can you add these files to the package? Thanks.
