Thanks for your reply ben92. I'll try tonight, but I'm pretty sure that I've already done this step and no particular log appears in Domoticz "log part" (neither in the Open Zwave log : OZW_Log.txt).
Perharps we have issue about our drivers (controller ? the kfob ? kfob firmware ?). That's could explain why we don't manage to realize a so simple step.

From the other research I've made, the (new) Aeotec Z-Stick Gen5 seems to be usable for Domoticz.
If I understood well the manufacturer information, It be more simple than before : "The Z-Stick Gen5 now uses UZB drivers instead of Silabs UART to USB. There is no need to install the UZB drivers in OSX and Linux as these OS already have drivers that will allow the use of the Z-Stick Gen5 without the UZB drivers."
The Synology OS couldn't be considered as a real Linux distribution I think. But I've tried also under Windows and install the specific driver, without better results.

@fpatou,
What is exactly the version of your Zwave Controller ?

@tophattaylor,
R U still with us ? Did you manage to add device from your ZME_KFOB-S ?

Hello...

find here the result of my investigations...as i m not ready to give up :-)

Yesterady coming back home i have tested to delete the kfob from material list and to reinclude it after some modification of xml files....and this succeed :-) the full setup and communication between kfob and zwave controler was ok.
I've got switch created and i was able to activate it (but only as ON :() i was not able to send OFF command. It was a first step.

after playing with the kfob i insiste to find out about the fact that i could succeed with a off command and then i delete the kfob from material and include it again....and then AGAIN the kfob was muted and no switch were created. then go back to the inital step : a muted kfob !

What i suspect after reading this article : http://www.z-wave.info/how-to-handle-ba ... -zme_kfob/ Is a issue with the eprom write of the kfob due to battery.

to be continued :-)

Hello fpatou,

Thanks for not giving up :).
I hope you're near the truth by pointing out battery issue. Have you seen this post ?
viewtopic.php?f=6&t=3746&start=20

It seems that bjoern have exactly the same issue as us. The solution seems to be too simple : change the battery (ref : CR2032).

I'll try to buy one tomorrow.

As you said : to be continued

Parameters are ok ?
Its a battery node so the timeout is not a problem.

- exclude
- include
- wake up
-set parameters in DZ and send it
- wake up for parameters

Normaly it works....

Alleuia ! ...

This morning sun is shining and kfob is back to life :-)

after another exclude restet include etc...

I did the following :
starting state is kfob inclued but muted

1 :delete all UNUSED devices from domoticz (as i supected a kind of conlict on this)
2 : without deletion or exclusion : include the kfob again
3 : Setup manualy association for the Five groups to the controller node 1
4 : wake up the kfob...done!

I can see many devices switch as before !

find here log....

Marvellous. :D
It works.
Thanks a lot fpatou.
I hadn't do step 1 (not able to deleted my very few unsued devices such as old motherboard sensors, this kfob is my first OZW device).
For step 3, I try using "Group & Network" from my Zwave Controller and set node 1 to each group and then apply configuration to my kfob. Is that the way you do ?
Group&Network
Group&Network

When I go back "Goup & Network", I don't see my change.
But it works. I've 15 new devices (curiously, it misses only double click on button 4).

Thanks a lot again fpatou. You're my hero ;).

Exactly. But it's sometimes hard to find ;). Including 2 times the same device without excluding it before was not obvious. Neither the manual association. You've found some informations that lead to this process or it was just a (good) feeling ?

Thanks also to ben92 for its support too ;).

Have a nice we

I have read this usefull post because I have the same issue with that KFOB-S Key, I have only one main device installed but no other device creation when I press the KFOB buttons.
If I well understood, I need to install again the KBOF without uninstall it to allow the auto creation of device when I press the button 1 to 4
I will try this.
To include the Key I did it with a double click on button 1, after putting the key in manage mode, the simple click did nothing.
