OWL CM180 paring issue
Hi,
Domoticz version: 2.2255
RFxcom FW version: 235
I tried to pari my OWL CM180i (Micro +) to domoticz but it fails and everything was good:
- Oregon protocol enabled (cf attachment)
- new hardware enable in settings (cf attachment)
Any clue about what i'm doing wrong?
Thank a lot for any help

Re: OWL CM180 paring issue
Should be working with these settings. Are the batteries empty or the distance between the owl and the rfxcom transceiver to big?

Re: OWL CM180 paring issue
Ok thanks...
I tried with new batteries and the transmitter near the RFXcom transceiver.
I will try with the rfmngr (win) to see if the transmitter is sending something over the air...
Note that my CMR180 (OWL micro+) is not plugged to his clamp...

Re: OWL CM180 paring issue
I have tried with rfxmngr under windows and i can see my OWL:
------------------------------------------------
Packettype = ENERGY
subtype = ELEC3 - OWL CM180
Sequence nbr = 2
ID = 34514
Count = 0
Instant usage = 0 Watt
total usage = 0 Wh
Signal level = 6
Battery = OK
------------------------------------------------
After a reset, ID change:
------------------------------------------------
Packettype = ENERGY
subtype = ELEC3 - OWL CM180
Sequence nbr = 6
ID = 50258
Count = 0
Instant usage = 0 Watt
total usage = 0 Wh
Signal level = 8
Battery = Low
But domoticz can see it. Maybe a but in version 2.2255??

Re: OWL CM180 paring issue
Your example with RFXmngr shows all zero value, I think Domoticz only logs changes, so have you tried with the clamps connected?
Raspberry Pi 2 B - 2A@5V PSU - Raspbian + Domoticz + RFXtrx(89), LightwaveRF House(dimmers, sockets, wireless/mood switches), Owl CM113, 4 LaCross Temp / Humidity Sensors, 4 Siemens PIR, Smappee, Solaredge, ESP8266

Re: OWL CM180 paring issue
You mean that domoticz will add my OWL in devices tab only if value different to 0?
I will try with the clamps connected and keep you in touch

Re: OWL CM180 paring issue
I have EXACT the same symptom. And I also performed the exact same reasoning and checking , including chceking out with Windows PC and RFXtrx433E connected to it.
Is there any solution?
I do not see any trace of the Owl CM180 (in fact CMR10 as it is a Micro+) in the Domoticz log.

Re: OWL CM180 paring issue
I have the same problem, my CM180 shows up in RFXMngr but not in Domoticz, any update in this?
I have enabled Oregon-protocol in domoticz also
------------------------------------------------
Packettype = ENERGY
subtype = ELEC3 - OWL CM180
Sequence nbr = 29
ID = 8992 decimal:35218
Count = 0
Instant usage = 0 Watt
total usage = 0 Wh
Signal level = 6 -72dBm
Battery = OK

Re: OWL CM180 paring issue
Hi,
I have the same problem, the protocol is enabled, the "Accept new hardware" checkbox is checked and the RFXCom firmware is up to date but nothing appears in domoticz.
If anybody has a solution...share it please!

Re: OWL CM180 paring issue
...I forget to say that the CM180 is detected with RFXmngr.
Does the problem comes from the CM180, RFXcom or Domoticz?
I think it comes from Domoticz as there is nothing about CM180 in the logs.
I would like helping but I don't know where searching.
I would like to have a confirmation that it's a regression.

Still does not seem to be fixed? I can't see my OWL but it used to work a year or so ago...

Re: OWL CM180 paring issue
I've just got a OWl CM180 (micro+) and initially also had the same problem. I was running Domoticz 3.7661 with RFXcom fw 95. I upgraded my RFXcom fw to Type1/1017 and the device immediately showed up in the Dom devices list.

Re: OWL CM180 paring issue
I have the exact same problem (domoticz not showing the OWL CM180 whereas RFXmngr can see it)
Using domoticz 3.5877 and RFXCOM - RFXtrx433E with latest firmware (Ext/1020)
If someone has an idea...
Thanks

Re: OWL CM180 paring issue
Hi, this has worked for me:
As the device ID changes when resetting, go to devices, search for the previous OWL device id and delete it by pressing the trash icon.
Then, in the menu of options, settings, general, press the option to allow the discovery of new devices and save the changes.
Now, go back to the list of devices (wait a bit for the transmitter to send a new data and then refresh the list).
The device appears with the new ID. Press the green arrow to add it to your devices.
(remember to change now the adjusts to not allow new devices any more)
I hope it works for you!

Re: OWL CM180 paring issue
Hi from France,
I have the same problem since yesterday, I just replaced the batteries but I can't see my CMR180 anymore in domoticz.
Last time I changed the batteries, I had my OWL intuition registration valid but because it is not free anymore, I can't connect anymore to the OWL website to pair my transmitter CMR180 to the OWL intuition module connected to my internet box because the pairing must be set from the website, no way to pair manually in standalone without registration
Then does anyone have an idea to pair or to activate the transmitter without the OWL intuition module ?
Thanks,
