Send email notifications when someone ring at the door

Post by florfilla19 »

Hello Team,

I'm requesting your help regarding a Ziglint Doorbell which I used with a homemade Rflink.
Actually the doorbell is detected like a Mertik_GV60 device.
Email sending is allready configured and works well

Good news, I have a new line created under the logs when someone is pressing the button.
Can you help me to send an email notification when this event happen ?

This setup is working well here. But I'm using telegram and did not select the ignore interval.

In my opinion Telegram is more faster and reliable then a message by mail.

Did you configure Setup -> Settings -> Email ? AND press 'Test' to confirm sending email is working?

@EddyG Yes I have allready configure setting email for gmail and test email is received properly.

I change parameter "ignore interval" to disable

Can you verify the setting for your notifications interval at the end of Notification Tab ?
I have sensor 12hours and switches direct.
Under switches 'Doorbell Status is stop'
Log / Edit / Timers buttons below are blue only notifications button is purple

Did I need to change something from this switches tab ?

Finnaly we made it ! Thanks all for your help.

So the clue was switching to DoorBell rather than Light Switch and creating a second Alert for Switch On or Off.
Don't remember which one it was.

Will now look to connect something else because this raspberry + rflink is supposed to work a little more.

If you have any ideas to make life more simple with it I'm really interested.
