Lidl now also sells Zigbee smarthome devices

Post by waltervl »

It was not easy to find an English article about this :-)
But they will sell Zigbee smarthome devices from this week. Should be compatible with all Zigbee controllers (Zigate, conbee, Zigbee2mqtt etc)

Edit: They are compatible but not yet implemented. You will have to request for a new device at the plugin owner or modify the plugin of your zigbee controller yourself.
For the Lidl Silvercrest Gateway no native support nor plugin is available (yet).

I ordered mine yesterday as the black-friday price is already in effect.
Approx 50 euro for the kit with 3 lamps, gateway & remote. 13 euro for a door-sensor

Anxious to find out how to make it play nice with domoticz...

I opened up the Lidl / Silvercrest gateway to see the chipset, it is based on Tuyo TYGWZ-01 and RTL8196E, there are photos of the internals on my blog

Can Domoticz talk to this unit?

Can any free, open source operating system be installed on it?

Hi all, yep, I directly went to a lidl after my work and buy a rgb gu10 bulb checking compatibility.

It was directly included and works, BUT BUT, who can tell me why the rgb colourpicker works in Philips Hue and it's app, it shows the rgb picker in domoticz as well but cannot choose rgb colour in domoticz.

I have Domoticz version 2020.1 on synology nas DSM 6.2.2-.24922, zigbee along hue controller, for z-wave the aoetec controller. Have 5 hue lights but no rgb hue I need to say.

That is such a pity, I have discovered that earlier with 2 rgb innr bulbs as well,

Someone familiar with? If you can't use the rgb colours it is a waste for domoticz..

Edit: just found out the pre-configured scenes do change rgb colours in domoticz so that can be used, but changing colour direct from button or menu is not working

Not yet I guess.
I hope someone will take the time to support this gateway.
I was hoping that it was just a rebadged unit that was already supported.
I don't think that's the case.
Only thing I found out so far is that the gateway responds to ports 2333, 6668 and 12130.
(I tried 1 thru 65535)

Connection to 192.168.1.202 port 2333 [tcp/snapp] succeeded!
Connection to 192.168.1.202 port 6668 [tcp/*] succeeded!
Connection to 192.168.1.202 port 12130 [tcp/*] succeeded!

You need more than an hue controler, take a look on zigbee2mqtt or deconz, lot of lidl devices use tuya cluster, so not all can't work on native HUE system.

Thanks, I will have a look, those controllers would be able to control rgbw of hue also or would you install an extra, a 2nd controller? My synology nas has only 2 USB ports, one I use for the p1 meter for gas /electro.

Zigate Zigbee controller should also be able to control the Lidl Zigbee devices.

Yep all generic zigbee gateway can control HUE hardware too, and you can use them by USB or ethernet (plug the zigbee USB on a raspberry 0 for exemple, used just for that.)

Went out to buy a LIDL Smart Plug and a Smart USB Extension Lead (power strip with 3 outlets). Want to include them in my setup with Domoticz Version: 2020.2 when using zigbee2mqtt 1.16.1. Both devices show up as a single TuYa TS011F in Zigbee2MQTT.

I can also see them using zigbee2mqtt in domoticz.

However no devices are created in Domoticz. Creating a group and adding the Smart Plug to this group I do get a switch in Domoticz. But this should not be necessary. For the Smart USB Extension Lead this has the effect that I can only switch the first of the three outlets through domoticz. If I push the button on the power plug itself it switches on all three of the outlets.

So I am left with two issues:
- why are no devices created in domoticz for the devices that zigbee2mqtt recognizes?
- how can I get the power block configured that it shows up as 3 separate switches?

The Domoticz plugin for Zigbee2MQTT has to support the device, in addition to being supported by Zigbee2MQTT

Zigbee2MQTT has to support the 3 switch version

The Domoticz plugin for Zigbee2MQTT has to support the device, in addition to being supported by Zigbee2MQTT
I added the following line to /domoticz/plugins/zigbee2mqtt/adapters/tuya/__init__.py

Code: Select all

'TS011F': OnOffSwitchAdapter, # TuYa Smart Plug
add that worked for the Smart Plug.

Update:
zigbee2mqtt 1.16.1-dev supports Lidl devices as Silvercrest. And with some tinkering to the zigbee2mqtt plugin I can now switch all the outlets on both devices

Someone managed to get the motion sensor working?
I can pair the device in the zigbee2mqtt plugin

0xec1bbdfffe6d0bb3 TY0202 - EndDevice 0xec1bbdfffe6d0bb3 2020-11-29 14:45:24

But in the device menu it does not appear as a motion sensor.

Zigbee2mqtt 0x00124b0014da3313_signal 30 Zigbee2mqtt - 0x00124b0014da3313 (Link Quality) General Custom Sensor 0

Only a link quality appears .

I tried the Christmas tree decoration, but did not succeeds to include them with zigbee2mqtt, no logging at all.
I tried the 3 ceiling LED spots, they were recognized by zigbee2mqtt, but not as the right item.
The plugin did not (yet) discovered the 3 LED's
For both I put issues on the list.

Is domoticz zigbee2mqtt supporting zigbee 3.0 protocol? Lidl stated the devices using zigbee 3.0

Where can you find this kind of information?
in the log files like: /opt/zigbee2mqtt/data/log/2020-12-02.15-47-38
I see the following:

more log.txt
info 2020-12-02 15:47:38: Logging to console and directory: '/opt/zigbee2mqtt/data/log/2020-12-02.15-47-38' filename: log.txt
info 2020-12-02 15:47:38: Starting Zigbee2MQTT version 1.16.2 (commit #04c15f7)
info 2020-12-02 15:47:38: Starting zigbee-herdsman (0.13.37)
error 2020-12-02 15:47:39: Error while starting zigbee-herdsman

How does zigbee2mqtt where to look for the gateway?
Set 1= RPI 3B, latest Beta, RFLink USB, RFLINK WIFI, Zwave
Set 2= RPI 2B, Latest Beta, OTGW (USB), SBFSpot (Bluetooth)
