Re: Set Temperature not 0

Post by MrHobbes74 »

PVuser wrote: Wednesday 03 June 2020 19:48 @MrHobbes74 Is it possible to show the last temperature when you get not current temperature. It will be better for the chart which is going to 0 very often. Very confusing at the beginning. Also the temperature range in the lower chart is always wrong because it shows 0 to max.

Thanks
I never see this problem. I don’t have 0 in my temperature bar. Also the temp is only updated if there is data retrieved. Could it be an issue with your Tesla temperature meter? That it returns 0 sometimes?

By the way, in a previous beta there was an issue with the external sensor filling the internal sensor data. This is solved in later betas.

Ok, than it is perhaps a problem of my sensors!?
Attached my temperatur. Inside it's the same. And in this case I see also 0° in my display :-(.

But more important would be a control of the current. But it's a problem of the API - I know!

I guess there is indeed something with either you API-connection or the sensors. Is is the chart for the charge level OK?

You could also check this to see what e.g. TeslaFi is reporting.

Below is my chart:

The chargingchart seems to be ok.
22:10 47%
8:10 46%
still than 45%

Normally the Tesla should sleep, so I'm wondering about the values, but perhaps Tesla waked it up!? In the graph for the month, I see a continue loss of 2% every day I don't use the car. Using&charging the car will also be fine.

What are the timeout values in the domoticz Tesla hardware?

I think it cannot be a error of the sensor, because the normal values (<> 0)are all right. But if I the only one with this phanomen, than it's of course difficult to find and something of my equipment/configuration,...

Thanks so far

If you can provide a graph of two days together with the table of the status of those same two days, we can see if it happens during sleep. With your current time settings, domoticz should not wake up the car. But I’ve only tested with a model 3, maybe you have a different model that behaves differently.

How can I make a graph of 2 days? In domoticz there is no option for this. And no statustable for temperature. (Only for switches)!? (I have Model S)

The Tesla hardware has a status device, that indicates if the car is away, home, charging etc. That one has a table. We can match that with the graph.

The 0’s are very strange. I will check the code if there is any situation where a 0 could be filled without retrieving data from the Tesla.
I do notice that your car is hardly asleep, even at night. The car often wakes up by itself. My guess is that you have sentry mode on at home, along a busy street. That may explain the battery drain...

Thanks, for lookin in your code and the hint. The battery drain is very bad of course. I wondered also, but cannot find a reason. Alwayss 2% per day. I think it is a lot. The graph for last 24h shows:

09:15 51%
17:30 50%
04:25 49%

I thought, I used all battery savings but without Mobile access. I think I switched it off for test, but is was not better. And I'm not living at a busy street. I live rural with very less traffic. Any hint for battary saving appreciated!

When installing the hardware it may take a while before the devices show up in the device list. Only when the connection to the car is successfully made and information can be retrieved, the devices are created.
Any hint about a while ? I have installed it yesterday evening, this morning still no life.
Can I check it somewhere/somehow?

Many thanks for this great intergration !

Should be seconds. But you may need to enable the acceptance of new devices in the settings. Otherwise, please post the logging when filtered on Tesla, so I can have a look what’s wrong.

MrHobbes,

I can't see the script anymore. Have you stopped supporting it?

Was curious it there is a newer one as I do get a lot of errors in my log last days.

What script are you referring to? There is no script, the Tesla module is part of the core domoticz executable. What version of domoticz are you running? I see a strange error related to basepush, my feeling is that there is something else fishy going on, not related to the Tesla module. My Tesla is still happily connected 😉

MrHobbes

ignore the BasePush. That is not related.
Only a few weeks now I have ( and I know an other user as well ) Lots of Tesla timeout events.
I am running Teslamate as well and that one does not have issues. So I was wondering if this has anything to do with a newer Tesla I have received.
on 2020.40.4 now.
Mized feelings here. REally proud on the integration, dissapointed about the many logfile entries :-(

I have started monitoring as well. I do see regular timeout errors, but in general it works ok. I’m also on 2020.40.4. Nothing has changed in the code recently. Reasons can be:
- all communications run via Tesla servers. They may have issues or restrict api access. E.g. see https://teslascope.com/help/tesla-api-issues
- if you connect to WiFi at home and the connection is minimal, this may also cause timeouts (I have noticed this myself). The WiFi receiver in the Tesla is weak.
