Re: Controlicz - Easy Domoticz to Alexa Integration
Hi Madgeni, also in my domoticz configuration nothing is changed, the strange is that the command works for all blinds (issung command of opening and closing) but not for the single one that are threated by alexa as normal switch despite in domoticz are declared as blind type so they work only issuing on/off state as vocal command.
For now i use a routine to overcome the problem but is not so elegant.
Thank you

Ah, so in Alexa it thinks it's a switch? Will investigate

Re: Controlicz - Easy Domoticz to Alexa Integration
yes i think that something was changed in the api provided by Amazon, before the commands for open and close works well now the command open is still in place but the command for close is not intended for the use with blinds.
if i issue the command for up or down alexa returns that the command is not supported by the hardware.
it seems that only turn off and turn on are recognized

Am on my phone, so there's a 'burger' menu, choose FAQs. On a desktop, there an FAQ option on the top menu

Hi, appologies ifi have missed this somewhere.
Do selector switches work with alexa?
i was thinking of having tc channels within a selector switch, but cant seem to get it to work.
she jsut says "tivo channel doesnt support that ".
Thanks,
Sion.

Re: Controlicz - Easy Domoticz to Alexa Integration
Hello, unfortunately Alexa can't find anymore my devices. I had deleted and set up the account test wise without success. I find my equipment under "Devices" in Controlicz but Alexa doesn't find it.
I think I need help with my problem.
regards
Guido

Re: Controlicz - Easy Domoticz to Alexa Integration
Selector switches should now work for all users in English, French, German, Italian and Spanish -
"Alexa, set the level to <selector switch level name>"
Enjoy!

Re: Controlicz - Easy Domoticz to Alexa Integration
Hi Nick, I presume you noticed that ModeController, ToggleController and RangeController are now (finally!) available outside the US? I have a personal skill using them and querying the status is possible besides just control. Great for things like 'Set repeat mode to Album' and 'Set fan speed to Medium'. They should benefit Domoticz control too.

Re: Controlicz - Easy Domoticz to Alexa Integration
Hi Phil - yep, ModeController was implemented as soon as it came out to natively handle selector switches in Controlicz, but it's been hamstrung by Alexa not providing more language support. Now it's live, this is available to all (as per my note above).
Cheers

Re: Controlicz - Easy Domoticz to Alexa Integration
Unrelated - just a reminder that you can use Dummy Sensors to get Alexa to talk to you when an 'event' happens in Domoticz (switch turns on, temperature reaches a certain level etc etc)

Re: Controlicz - Easy Domoticz to Alexa Integration
^That would be handy; how is that done? I'm still struggling with Alexa's routines (announcement after a window has been open for 60 minutes), maybe that could solve it.
