Have been running domoticz 4.9700 on ds1813+ (DSM 6.2.1) for long time and works fine except for the errors below when starting.
Starting Domoticz ...
insmod: ERROR: could not insert module /lib/modules/usbserial.ko: File exists
insmod: ERROR: could not insert module /lib/modules/ftdi_sio.ko: File exists

How do I fix that since cannot use USB/Serial port in domoticz now.
Are you sure you have installed the right domoticz version? If you have an old 6.1 version the drivers is not the same as 6.2.hkhk wrote: ↑Wednesday 16 January 2019 11:13 Hi,
Asked this question some time ago but no response.
Does that mean nobody knows or it is a known issue?
I could not find any hint to solve it.

I see the same message at every start. But they do not imply you cannot use your serial ports. They just say the files / symbolic links are already there.hkhk wrote: ↑Wednesday 16 January 2019 11:13 Hi,

I'm pretty sure I used 6.2 but to be 100% sure I installed again. Same messages though. Could not download beta because of connection issues.jumbotroll wrote: ↑Wednesday 16 January 2019 12:01Are you sure you have installed the right domoticz version? Try to reinstall domoticz for DSM6.2 and test the beta version.

There are not any another users that reported this problem using arch-cedarview..
Ok. But when in Hardware page, there are no serial ports to select from on a device. Or does the (USB)device need to be connected to the NAS before it boots?waaren wrote: ↑Wednesday 16 January 2019 12:22I see the same message at every start. You give me very limited info.
Fixed it. Thanks for the feedback.jumbotroll wrote: ↑Wednesday 16 January 2019 21:13You give me very limited info.
What USB device are you trying?
Have you tried to reboot with the USB device connected?
Can you see the USB device in the info center on your synology?
Have you tested with the latest beta for arch-cedarview?

Got a DS216play running DSM 6.2.1-23824 and had an older version of Domoticz running. Wanted to upgrade to Domoticz Stable V4.9700 for DSM 6.2 with Python. (yes got monaco version)
Somehow the install didn't work So I uninstalled Domoticz....and then tried again. Yeah it worked.
But it does not run. Uninstalled phyton 3 uninstalled Domoticz. Tried version without Python. Yeah it worked and it runs! (ofcourse all of my previous stuff gone, it's okay I'll do it over and better).
Installed Phyton 3 again. Installed version with Python. Computer says no....it will not start. Can someone help me?
DS 212+ use arch-88f6282iMoi wrote: ↑Friday 18 January 2019 19:35 Hi there,
I'm a complete newbie to both Synology and Domoticz (but I'm familiar to Raspberry). I have a brand new DS212+ (DSM 6.2, more precision below) and just installed Domoticz. Unfortunately, when I try to launch it, it seems to do so, but stops and the status remains "Stopped". Even after rebooting the NAS, it keeps doing so. Any idea why ?
thanks a lot !

Then you can download domoticz beta and update..
No need to reinstall.
Remember, you can't downgrade. If you want to use an older version (beta or stable), you have to uninstall/reininstall.
I can build a beta for you, what NAS do you have and for DSM 6.2 with or without python plugin?Ectholian wrote: ↑Sunday 03 February 2019 13:23Thank you.
