I was actually looking into that... and you nailed it. The issue is caused by the Tuya plugin by Tixi. Once I disabled it, domoticz does not crash anymore.
No need to recompile the older version. Many thanks for your help!
Have been running domoticz 4.9700 on ds1813+ (DSM 6.2.1) for long time and works fine except for the errors below when starting.
Starting Domoticz ...

How do I fix that since cannot use USB/Serial port in domoticz now.

Are you sure you have installed the right domoticz version? If you have an old 6.1 version the drivers is not the same as 6.2.
Try to reinstall domoticz for DSM6.2 and test the beta version. http://www.jadahl.com/domoticz_beta_6.2 ... 0354-8.spk

I see the same message at every start. But they do not imply you cannot use your serial ports. They just say the files / symbolic links are already there.

I'm pretty sure I used 6.2 but to be 100% sure I installed again. Same messages though. Could not download beta because of connection issues.

Ok. But when in Hardware page, there are no serial ports to select from on a device. Or does the (USB)device need to be connected to the NAS before it boots?

You give me very limited info.
What USB device are you trying?
Have you tried to reboot with the USB device connected?
Can you see the USB device in the info center on your synology?

Fixed it. Thanks for the feedback.
Needed to insert the serial device (pl2302) in the USB port before domoticz is started. Now it sees the device.
So where synology sees the USB device without restart, domoticz needs a restart to see it.
Got a DS216play running DSM 6.2.1-23824 and had an older version of Domoticz running. Wanted to upgrade to Domoticz Stable V4.9700 for DSM 6.2 with Python. (yes got monaco version)
Somehow the install didn't work So I uninstalled Domoticz....and then tried again. Yeah it worked.
But it does not run. Uninstalled phyton 3 uninstalled Domoticz. Tried version without Python. Yeah it worked and it runs! (ofcourse all of my previous stuff gone, it's okay I'll do it over and better).
Installed Phyton 3 again. Installed version with Python. Computer says no....it will not start. Can someone help me?

Hi there,
I'm a complete newbie to both Synology and Domoticz (but I'm familiar to Raspberry). I have a brand new DS212+ (DSM 6.2, more precision below) and just installed Domoticz. Unfortunately, when I try to launch it, it seems to do so, but stops and the status remains "Stopped". Even after rebooting the NAS, it keeps doing so. Any idea why ?
thanks a lot !

DS 212+ use arch-88f6282
How did you manage to install arch-apollolake?
I don't build new versions for 88f6282 anymore because of old kernel/toolchain from synology.
Latest build for your NAS is :domoticz_88f6282-6.2_3.0.9483-7.spk http://www.jadahl.com/domoticz_beta_6.2 ... 9483-7.spk
If you have DS 218+ this use arch-apollolake..
If you installed the python version, you have to install Python 3 or domoticz don't run.
Python 3 for apllolake you can download here: https://global.download.synology.com/do ... 1-0108.spk
Sorry, my mistake : I have DS218+, not the 212+, and I finally got it working fine, after installing Python and rebooting.
Thanks a lot ! Great job, really impressive.

What is the suggested way to update from the stable dsm to the beta (and vice versa)?
- backup config file
- backup database in domoricz just in case
- uninstall current package
- install new package
- restore config
- database should still be there configured?

Always take backup of database (domoticz.db)
Then you can download domoticz beta and update..
No need to reinstall.
Remember, you can't downgrade. If you want to use an older version (beta or stable), you have to uninstall/reininstall.

I can build a beta for you, what NAS do you have and for DSM 6.2 with or without python plugin?
