I have a question for everybody having the Xiaomi gateway running without any issue on their synology NAS.

I have Domoticz on a Raspi, but want to more to synology. It took me quite a while to get the xiaomi gateway to work on my raspi. In the end, the problem was that I needed to Raspi to be connected by Wifi and not by cable to my router, just like the gateway is connected by Wifi. If I didn't, I could get sensor (like temp) data in, but couldn't control switches (got error message "Error sending switch command, check device/hardware !").
When I now try to install the xiaomi gateway in synology Domoticz, I get the same error. Which isnt weird, as the NAS is obviously connected by cable.

So, how do other solve this problem. Or is nobody having this issue?

I'm also very curious to the solution about the vibration sensor.
My idea is to let the system send me a message when my washing machine is done, so at a specific vibration (at centrifuging)

I just read about the Xiaomi Smart Home Suite products. They look slick and affordable. As they use the Zigbee protocol I have the following question:
- Can I use the Xiaomi products with my Philips Hue Bridge or do I need to buy the seperate Xiaomi Mijia Upgrade Version Smart Home WiFi Remote Control Multifunctional Gateway?

I'm thinking of using the temperature and humidity sensors throughout the house and convert my WTW-installation to work with Domoticz.

Hello,

Just added a Xiaomi Gateway to Domoticz. It seems to work fine, however when I press a switch connected to the XIaomi Gateway, it will take up to 5 or 10 seconds, before the switch is turning to state "on" in Domoticz. When I add an action/scene in the Xiaomi App, the response is within 2 seconds. Is there such a delay between Domoticz and Xiaomi? If not then wireless can be a problem, but the Xiaomi Gateway is within a few meters of the access point. I tested the switch within 3 meter range of the Xiaomi Gateway.

Thanks.

If this is just about seeing the switch update in the web UI then it is expected as the UI updates every 10 seconds. However, if you use the switch as a trigger for the event system, the reaction should be close to instant (tenth of a second max).

What you are reporting may be the refresh time of your dashboard.
You can try hooking up an automation, for example turn a light on, and time that for a more accurate response time.
Also you can see in the log when a sensor or switch gets new data, in there you may find it as well

Also monitoring progress on the vibration sensor. I'm also getting the error :

XiaomiGateway (ID=7): unhandled model: vibration

Can anyone shed a light on if this is being worked on?

I have one mounted in my external mailbox next to the door, the goal is to get a pushbullet message when I have mail 8-)

Hi,

Same for me, would be glad to have support for Xiaomi Aqara Vibration Sensor under Domoticz : https://www.gearbest.com/smart-home-con ... id=1433363

It has been added properly though Mi Home application but has not been detected by domoticz though the Xiaomi Gateway, I can see there is logs about it when disabled/enabled the Gateway :
