Probably not what you would like to hear but is the ticking noise proportional to the flow? Could these ticks be counted by a simple microphone, amplifier, schmidt-trigger circuit?
Just thinking out of the box...

Seems that the sensors was the problem received one other and it's detecting. But now the wrong sensors BX instead of BYKeptenkurk wrote:Probably not what you would like to hear but is the ticking noise proportional to the flow? Re: watermeter Elster V200 PR6P:1
Finaly got a working sensors !
When connected to a terminal it detects [00], but when connected to domo as a p0 device nothing happens ? When I turn in the water the led lights up when it must be but domo doesn't detect or displays anything.
I connecter this sensor to a profilic usb to serial cable/convertor .
What did I do wrong ?

If you are still trying to resolve this issue, check out MeterProvida in the UK who among other things supply Elster heads.
I have no connection with the company but sourced my V200 and an Elster Gas Meter pulser from them well over a month ago, probably lowest prices I found.
I have an outstanding order for a PR6 pulse head from them for the V200, stock was expected this week.

Re: watermeter Elster V200 PR6P:1
Looks like a RF version of the PR6P (the one with the magnetic sensor on top of the red dial. A quick google search on the code printed on the meter shows a RF version of the Flacon PR6 wired sensor module.
I have a PR6P meter installed with the wired sensor and been using this for quite a while now, Only remark is that for some reason the pulses aren't correctly measured after a while. Still no cause for this.

This sensor, LJ18A3-8-Z/BX 8mm, detects the printed circuit when passing by.
I made the same construction with a hose clamp and iron holder.
Working fine on 12V.
It is rather large, but no downside so far;
https://nl.aliexpress.com/item/LJ18A3-8 ... Title=true
Electrical connection attached.
Using a step-up 3.3v -> 12v and using a optocouper 12v->3.3v for the input.
Software done according to wiki, only modified the idx and gpio port of the script.

Do you still have this issue with your V200+PR6P? I was considering this solution. but not if I might get those errors.
Thanks!

Haven't been active for a while...
Currently rebuilding domoticz from scratch since it got corrupted.
Expect to have a answer to this in the next few hours / days. Don't currently know how it's going to react.
Stay tuned!

Hi Jeff,
Any news? I just received the new meter today and would really like to order some parts to read it.
Kind regards,
Justin
Did you figure it out? I got the same one, with the coil on your picture on top of the red thingy

I am trying to understand your drawing. Can you clearify to connections on the reed relais? The proximity sensor pull downs to ground if i am right but the reed switch does need power also isn't?Keptenkurk wrote: ↑Wednesday 25 December 2013 16:12 Today i mounted and connected the proximity sensor and got it all working.
So now we are singing "Let it flow, let it flow, let it flow"
Merry Christmas to you all and a big THANK YOU to all involved with Domoticz.

EDIT: Changed the schematic to use a reed relay instead of the 2N7000 Mosfet
