Thermostat "Spirit Z-Wave Plus"
Hi, after searching I found a new z wave thermostat "Spirit Z-Wave Plus" https://www.eurotronic.org/en/products/ ... -plus.html
Advantage "z wave plus" and should give the current room temperature back.
Did anyone already installed this thermostat? Is it supported?
Regards, Martin

Re: Thermostat "Spirit Z-Wave Plus"
I'm also interested on this device. I think it's not a problem for domoticz with a Z-Wave controller with Z-Wave Plus and OpenZwave(OZW)

Thanks Eligos, still waiting on a response of eurotronic what the "UK mode" really means because I have to mount the radiator 20 cm under the ceiling of a my wifes washing room and wants to know if can mount the spirit with the led display face down. (display to the floor)

Re: Thermostat "Spirit Z-Wave Plus"
Hello,
I am new to domoticz and Z-wave in general but I have decided to give it a try.
I have one StellaZ configured already and I have just purchased Sprint (eurotronic).
It seems to be recognized but apparently there is no possibility to set a set-point.
In additional when I compare specification to what I can see in domoticz it is quite messy.
Setup:
domoticz: 3.8153
controller: Aeotec Z-stick Gen5
Thermostat: Sprint z-wave plus (eurotronic)

Re: Thermostat "Spirit Z-Wave Plus"
A small update I have manually implemented changes described in...
https://github.com/OpenZWave/open-zwave/pull/1341
...re-complied open-zwave, then adjust xml files accordingly on Domoticz side and I have those thermostat supported.
Works OK with small issue that temperature reported by Thermostat seems to be inaccurate however it is shown correctly in OZW.
Anyway as you can still set a plan for Thermostat (what temperature should be set on which time) and it is handled correctly via device (only display in Domoticz seems to be wrong) I am using it.
I have no experience in GIT stuff so I have no idea how to push changes to be merged into open-zwave version.

Re: Thermostat "Spirit Z-Wave Plus"
Hi,
I now have tree of these thermostats. I took the latest device xml from the OZW github pull request and it almost works. I'm on the latest beta (3.8922).
The problem is that the temperature and valve position are not updated automatically even if I have set it up like that. I get values if I update manually in the OZW control panel or if I enable polling.
I also don't know what the "Furnace" set point is...
Any ideas?

@mattsjo I have the same problemen also time-outs or sometimes a dead node. I think we have to wait for an update of openzwave.
Or has someone a idea how to recompile openzwave?

I bought a USB Gen5 Zwave Stick and German Spirit Zwave Plus devices.
The purchase was a mistaken purchase?

Re: Thermostat "Spirit Z-Wave Plus"
That's the combination I have. You need to patch the manufacturer_specific.xml and add the eur_spiritz.xml before you include the thermostat to Domoticz. Everything works fine except for the automatic temperature and valve position reports.ProjektC wrote:I bought a USB Gen5 Zwave Stick and German Spirit Zwave Plus devices.

Re: Thermostat "Spirit Z-Wave Plus"
manufacturer_specific.xml
<Product type="0003" id="0001" name="EUR_SPIRITZ Wall Radiator Thermostat Valve Control" config="eurotronic/eur_spiritz.xml"/>
<Product type="0003" id="0003" name="EUR_SPIRITZ Wall Radiator Thermostat Valve Control" config="eurotronic/eur_spiritz.xml"/>
Is it enough to delete the thermostats on Device?
Do the thermostats also have to be deleted for hardware under ZWAVE?
But I miss Light/Switch for 401
Temperature 401 is present.
201 and 301 temperature and light/switch available

Re: Thermostat "Spirit Z-Wave Plus"
I don't think the devices must be deleted. It should be enough to stop Domoticz and remove (or rename) the ozw cache file (ozwcfg_0xxxxxx.xml). Then restart Domoticz again and the system should pick up the proper name of the thermostats.

Re: Thermostat "Spirit Z-Wave Plus"
I'm sending the Spirit back to Amazon.
I have now ordered the Popp thermostats.

Re: Thermostat "Spirit Z-Wave Plus"
I tried adding the two lines to the manufacturer_specific.xml and adding the eur_spirit.xml file to /Config/eurotronic. It did not help; I still have the Dry Air/Cooling devices. BTW what is the reason that Open Z-wave's current version is still not merged into Domoticz, even the beta?
Second question: does anyone else here have range issues with the Spirit? Whenever it is not in range of the main controller the node shows up as dead and only comes alive briefly when you press a button on the device itself. I had the same problems with OpenHAB. It seems the device does not route through other nodes, at least when listening to commands (maybe it has to do with the new FLiRS mode?)
Actually, with Domoticz I think the problem is much less severe. But it's difficult to test without a working thermostat. I can only change the heating mode remotely, which mostly works. But for example "Request current stored values from device" does not work well, or at all.

Re: Thermostat "Spirit Z-Wave Plus"
Hi still problems with my Spirit, using Domoticz v3.8989 and OpenZWave version 1.4-2888-g54682370-dirty
If have seen that if you try to compile (but this is to difficult for me) then you get "Version 1.4-2968-g30d9f38-dirty" this include path #1387 for the Spirit.
When will be this available in a new beta version of Domoticz or do I have to compile everything myself how does this work, I am not a compiling guru?
