any chance you will have the beta package with python for DSM 6.2 (916+ architecture) any time soon ?
There is no new kernel or toolchain for DSM6.2.
You can use DSM6.1 version.

Possible :). But going to go back to stable. dzVents is throwing errors now, and I don't have the knowledge on how to fix those.

mmm.. Forgot that you can't downgrade :(

You can "downgrade" Take backup of database and script (if you have any) and remove the domoticz package.
Then you can reinstall stable version and add your database again.

Hi Jumbotroll,

In the latest beta 6.1 package for armadaxp 3.0.8552 dzvents is not working anymore, it gives the following error message: "Error: EventSystem: in /usr/local/domoticz/var/dzVents/runtime/dzVents.lua: cannot open /usr/local/domoticz/var/dzVents/runtime/dzVents.lua: No such file or directory"

Could you please share the previous beta 6.1 package for armadaxp?

Thanks!

Because of the backup restore installation script i the stable version, the dzVents/runtime folder is overwritten.
Take backup of your database and your scripts and uninstall the old domoticz package from package center.
Install the latest beta for armadaxp (3.0.8563) and upload your database and script again.
Tested dzVents here, and all working ok.

I wonder when domoticz is started within my Synology DSM 6.1 it stays running if I shutdown my pc and DSM. I hope it stays running, but how can I check this and where can I find settings for this?

When you turn of your DSM, you will also turn off everything that is running from it.

It depends...

If you mean DSM the Disk Station Manager operating system then Yes, your NAS will stop if you give the shutdown command.
If you mean DSM the web interface to your NAS then you can create as many instances as you like and stop them at will. Your NAS and all systems on it will continue (except the DSM web interface :D

@Jumbotroll

i have been running domoticz 81.53 for some time now on my DS718+ with latest DSM 6.1.3-15152 Update 7

I have however experienced a recurring problem which has occured 2 times now.

From time to time i loose the complete connectivity to my z wave devices(zwave plus gen5 stick)

the complete config seems gone when i enter the zwave setup
the only thing to get things working is

setup-hardware:select zwave stick and deselect enabled Press update
usb down.jpg
usb down.jpg (77.78 KiB) Viewed 3396 times
after that select zwave stick again and SELECT enabled Press update
usb up.jpg
usb up.jpg (90.53 KiB) Viewed 3396 times
after that everything is working again(when you go to zwave setup every device is there again)

it looks like a disruption problem with the usb driver
does this sound familiar? eg is there a solution

i never had this problem with the DS112+, also with dsm6 running

@Gravityz
Sorry, never seen this problem before..
If you use USB Hub, try without or you can try to change the USB port for your Zwave Gen5 device.

Ok.
Could it be that connecting with winscp or putty to the synology can cause a disruption to the serial usb port.
I have read that another user had this problem
I connect with ssh and after that with Putty.
Maybe it interferes with the /dev/ttyACM0 driver

jumbotroll wrote: Monday 31 July 2017 19:40 After careful consideration, I have now made a decision.
I'm just going to update/build stable versions of Domoticz to Synology in the future.
There are often changes to the source code that make the beta versions need to be tested carefully before I can post them, and this requires allot of time I do not have ...
I think that docker or raspberry pi are better suited for beta testing.
Url's for beta versions will eventually be removed from my server, so please follow the update here on the forum or on my website for future url's.
How can I switch from the beta to the stable version without losing data/configuration?

Thank you!
