I have gateway working for more than two weeks and here is few strange things that I want to share with you here, maybe someone mentioned earlier here but here is my problem. I have gateway with enabled developer mode, IP address is assigned via dhcp, on my phone with MI app I can controll light, radio, add sensor (I have one temp sensor and wireless switch), found and pair works great, I have also mylight led bulb which is under app found and controlled. When I move to domoticz and add gateway with all paired device it will work with no problem, but now is problem with phone app when I open It will report that gateway is offline, mylight also (led bulb have assigned static IP). I repeat control over domoticz works great, but my main concern is what if I want to add new device trough app!? Do I need to reset gateway add/adopt devices and agin pair in domoticz (add ip address and new password), enable developer mode!?

Thanks
Hi,

I can see Corbin have same issues as I. I think I have resolve my problem just moving gateway from one side room to another. Maybe I have found "dead spot" for my home WIFI, strange but ok, after I have moved GTW working normal over this few days. My main concern is if I order new devices how to pair them, but again now it is working.

It seems I did it.
I made 2 variables (the one in this image, sorry but I'm italian)

Than I set the delay off of the switch at 1 sec.
The blocky event for "click --> light on" and "click at the same wireless switch --> light off" looks like this

I try it whit 2 dummy switch, I'll try as soon as possibly with the real one.

I've also made some changes at https://github.com/corbinmunce/domoticz that will help with some of the switches.
I removed the switch and the cube and then reinstall them but only the first movement or click is seen and afterwards no reaction in Domoticz to any state change. Is there something more i can inspect?

I'm on DomoticZ beta V3.7151

You need to add a 1sec to off on switch edit. And clik off on widget.

As this beta this still need more improvement

did you compile from https://github.com/corbinmunce/domoticz ?

the changes I mentioned above are not in the official beta as we haven't fully tested some other recent changes.
Question about the Xiaomi Gateway in Domoticz? Please check the Wiki first: https://www.domoticz.com/wiki/Xiaomi_Gateway_(Aqara)

Hello, I have the same problem with SmartSwitch and Cube. But it does not help. All your suggestions I have tried. I hope you will soon find final solution. Fortunately, I have made backup of version 3.6838. In the version, everything has still worked.

Hi,

I read only the half of the full post sorry ... But i want to share my worries on the plug !
As I find that plugs are dangerous with an adapter I easely opened 3 of them and replaced pin with cable and trying to directly integrated in the outlet box in the wall. But range of mi plugs are a nightmare, out of there casing and specially when a charge on the ouptut

So did someone figure out the range or open plugs to integrate it ?

I taken some pics of the network board in the plug who can easely be moved from one plug to another keeping the association, also we can see a classic zigbee component http://www.nxp.com/documents/data_sheet/JN5169.pdf so plug should work as a repeter

Hi,

I just added my Xiaomi Gateway to my new Domoticz installation and I see no new sensors. I have almost 100 sensors working fine (ZWave, Yeelight, RFX, Bluetooth...)

Log shows:

Code: Select all

2017-03-30 20:54:51.785 XiaomiGateway: New Device Found (0153914c)
2017-03-30 20:54:51.789 {"cmd":"read_ack","model":"magnet","sid":"158d000153914c","short_id":26728,"data":"{\"status\":\"close\"}"}
But no new devices appear on Devices list.
- Accept new hardware devices is enabled
- Device is added and working on Mi Home app

Thanks in advance.

PD: Should I update devices firmware that Mi Home app suggests?

Answering myself: Just had to wait a few hours (I really don't know why), but they appeared.

In any case, it will be nice to know if I should update or not the firmware ^_^
Thanks anyway.

Hello,
is there any way to add two gateways to domoticz? i tried to add a second one, but it's not detected proberly :( Also I can't edit my "Xiaomi Smart Wireless Switch" after I switched it from the "Switch Type" from "Selector" to "On/Off". The edit button doesn't work anymore.
I'm on the latest beta 3.7212 on Debian/Beaglebone Black

i see they have a firmware update for the gateway.
from 1.4.1_143.0141 to 1.4.1_144.0141
haven't updated yet, though.

hopefully they enable the power consumption API for the sockets
