Domoticz controlled lock on sliding door possible ?

Post by waaren »

I would like to be able to lock / unlock my sliding door using domoticz without modifications to the door on the outside.
Does anyone on this forum can give me a hint where to start ?

unless you're able to install an automatic doorlock (Zwave or other kind) I don't think you will be able to...

Looks like the door has an euro cylinder. Have a look at Nuki.

I agree with Emme on this one. I am not aware of any method you can use to achieve what you want out of the lock without making any modifications to the lock/door on the outside. I would strongly suggest upgrading it to a deadbolt lock which will then give you more options in terms of auto locks and smart locks which you can then modify to control using domoticz

the only thing at all i can think of would be to install a seperate lock beside it, inside....use a mag lock contact
that would still modify the door, but it would leave the normal door and lock intact if you needed to use it
