Re: Daily backup, automatically, of database
Hi guys. I’m following the guide for backing up to nas in the wiki, and have what’s probably A stupid question. On the part of the code for deleting old backups: # work out our cutoff date MM=`date --date="$ndays days ago" +%b` DD=`date --date="$ndays days ago" +%d` TT=`date --date="$ndays days ago" ...

Re: homebridge-edomoticz Plugin
I say that eDomoticz does not have the possibility of writing hardware on the system. To add devices to Domoticz we should do it from the hardware tab. You can't do it right now. Yes. That would be fantastic. There seem to be so many plugins for homebridge, like Ring and blink, and it would then ...

Re: homebridge-edomoticz Plugin
Thanks for the reply.
Sorry, are you saying I should already be able to add homebridge as hardware, or through python, or that it would be a nice idea if you could?
I can’t seem to see a way to do it.
Thanks.

Re: homebridge-edomoticz Plugin
Hi, been using homebridge with domoticz for ages and it’s great. Setting the devices in domoticz that I want to show up in homebridge is easy. I was just wondering if there is a way to get this to work in reverse? So that domoticz can access switches created by other homebridge plugins. With the e ...

Re: Controlicz - Easy Domoticz to Alexa Integration
I'm having an issue with the routines: there're door switches in my system, included in room plans, added to controlicz user and discovered by Alexa. When a door closes or opens, the status in Alexa app changes accordingly. I've added a routine that should be triggered when a door opens, but for ...

Re: Controlicz - Easy Domoticz to Alexa Integration
Looking into setting it up at the moment.
I have my devices in room plans, but don’t want to expose all rooms to Alexa.
Is there a way to just have a specific room for Alexa devices ( currently do this with homebridge for Siri).

Re: Controlicz - Easy Domoticz to Alexa Integration
Can anyone tell me how quickly Alexa will start a routine after a sensor has been triggered in domoticz?
Have been using homebridge-Alexa, and unless you have the app open on the phone, the response seems very slow, so thinking of switching to Controlicz .

Re: Any one used homebridge-Alexa?
Just for anyone following this.
Following an update to the Alexa app this morning, everything is now working well.
I can now trigger an Alexa routine from a domoticz sensor / virtual switch etc..

Re: Any one used homebridge-Alexa?
So this plugin has been updated recently. I have had another go with it and it now is descovering my contact and motion sensors, as well as temperature sensors. I can now ask Alexa for the temperature in a room :) However, when I try to use a contact sensor to trigger a routine, the devices are ...

Re: Any one used homebridge-Alexa?
Got it working today. I’m using homebridge, with e-domoticz, and the Alexa plugin. I have a few devices in a room, and link to the room in config.json But I have noticed that Alexa only discovers the light or basic on off switches from domoticz, and doesn’t discover contact or motion sensors :( Hase ...

Re: Any one used homebridge-Alexa?
Yeah, I already have a HomeKit room. Been using homebridge with edomoticz for a couple of years and it works great. I never realised this plugin existed until the other day, if I can get it going, it seems a much easier way of integrating with Alexa than ha bridge - which exposes everything a bulbs ...

Re: Any one used homebridge-Alexa?
Yes. I have homebridge and edomoticz installed. I think I have some something wrong though as it’s when I load homebridge it’s not finding and accessories. I will have another go at it. Do you know of it exposes motion and contact sensors in a way that can be used with Alexa routines ? Sent from my i ...

Re: Alexa text to speech
Just wondering if people have this working reliably? I worked for me for ages at the start. Then stopped. I tryed enabling 2 step, and put the code in the the script for the first go - then took the code out - and this worked for a few days, but stopped again. I’m going to try and fix the cookie t ...

Moving ha bridge to a new pc.
Hi all. I am in the process of tidying up my setup and consolidating some of the boxes I have running. To help with this I would like to move ha bridge to a new pc. It’s currently on a windows pc, and the new one will also be windows. If I backup and restore onto the new pc, and make sure the new pc ...

Re: Delay timer with Blockly
You could try this, using a virtual switch, and 2 blocklyd.
1:
If sensor = on
Set virtual switch = on
Set virtual switch = off after 600 seconds.
( or a time you want ).
2:
If time = ((after 23:00 or before 06:00) and virtual switch = off)
Set yourGroup = off.

Re: need a alarm system
Hi. I have just installed a new alarm system using a Honeywell accenta ayatem, and a separate gsm dialer. The dialer can send a message or call, when the alarm is armed, disarmed , or ringing. It is also possible to arm or disarm the alarm by text if you want. The accenta also has enough outputs so ...

Re: Run script every min, but only when a switch is on.
Thanks for the clarification.
I think I’ll set a timer for every min, and then check to see if the switch is on inside the execute.
How many scripts can you have Running every min before it would start to have an impact on a rasp pi?
I’m probably worrying about nothing.
