Re: Python Plugin: TUYA
Yes it must have been, as it's working today again, and also the app wasn't working yesterday either so must have been a server issue

Re: Python Plugin: TUYA
Thank you, it worked!
So now I can control on/off through domoticz, it's good start. But through Tuya, you can control RGB settings and diffuser strength. Is there any way to enable those commands in Domoticz?

Re: Python Plugin: TUYA
Can someone help?! I'm on the verge of giving up! I've finally managed to get this plug in to pretty much work on a Windows based install. It needs to be Windows for various other reasons. debug_discovery returns the correct device which is a Smart Aroma Diffuser. To get the plugin to work in ...

Re: Control Domoticz using Harmony Hub and HA Bridge
just found this thread shortly after finding HA Bridge. I've installed and got it working, although my harmony is not arriving until later today. But its all working with a test device and the software is great. This will literally bridge the gap between many disparate pieces. I went with Harmony ...

Re: What's the latest with Nest
I'm still struggling with this. I have an event set to turn lights on when the nest is triggered but setting the alarm off doesn't do anything in Domoticz. This worked fine with my old Fibaro smoke detector but that thing was useless at waking us up.

Re: What's the latest with Nest
Is it possible to increase that time? If i want all the house lights to turn on in the event of a fire, 30 seconds could be quite a long time. With the fibaro sensor, the domoticz device is triggered immediately

Re: What's the latest with Nest
Are you able to use the protect to trigger things, does the switch get triggered when the alarm goes off? Mine does nothing when I set the alarm off with smoke

Re: What recommended inline device?
can you explain why those are options for your scenario? I always struggle to understand the difference between the micro switch for example and the relays. I understand 2 vs 3 wire systems but not where to use one device over another! Vesternet are usually great though

Re: What's the latest with Nest
ok, so i've added it to my nest account and then added a nest device to Domoticz and put my account details in. I've seen it appear in devices and added it to switches and changed the type to smoke detector. I tried to trigger it with smoke and it goes off but nothing happens in Domoticz. What am i ...

What's the latest with Nest
Hi all
I've seen reports that Nest is supported but that it doesn't work properly, eventually errors out. I have a Nest protect coming today and want to use it to trigger scenes etc like my fibaro smoke sensor currently does, but is there a way around the errors to get it working?
Thanks

Re: New to Domoticz, some basic questions!
I have worked out how to create the blockly script for what i want and it works well.
What i meant was once i've created an Event in blocky, can I show that event on my dashboard so that i have a quick overview of all the events i have created, without having to go to setup>more options>events

Re: New to Domoticz, some basic questions!
Just as a follow up to this, it seems the only (or the easier?) way to do this that I can find is to use Blockly, is that right? Also is there a way to view Blockly events on the dashboard or in another easy access way like switches and scenes?

Re: Is there a guide for new beginners?
I too agree with Gareth's comments. With enough trial and error I can generally figure out how to do something, but finding out why to do something is harder, it would be great to know how to solve real world problems (like my question about using the smoke sensor to trigger something), it might be ...

New to Domoticz, some basic questions!
Hi All Firstly to say that I am new to Domotiz having been using a Vera 3 for about a year. I have to say that the Vera was one of the worst things i've used, unreliable, slow and buggy. My experience so far with Domoticz has been miles better, which is great. I've only got to grips with the basics ...
