Re: ESP8266 Air quality sensor

MQ135 sucks if i have to believe blogs online. Really hard to get a trustworthy result.
MH-Z19 is most valueable option for now, good price and readings seem to be accurate.

Re: ESP8266 Air quality sensor

How accurate is this sensor compared to something like a more expensive sensor like a SenseAir K30 ? Any idea?
And what about calibration? Does it need calibration?

Big fat warning!
Doublecheck the frequency they use before buying anything that might end up useless.

Z-Wave uses different frequencies across the globe.

Re: WhatsApp notification

Looking good :) And i don't want to be a party p**per, but the reason i never did this is that WhatsApp doesn't allow you to use third party clients like 'yowsup'. So it might work fine now, but it could be very possible that the phone number you use for yowsup will get banned. I strongly advise to ...

Your Lua script seems a bit complicated. Have a look at my script that i used to send the outside temperature to my thermostat: https://bitbucket.org/frankiepankie/domoscripts/src/be12ba80c4fbb5c0724cfb9f3818257183aee9aa/lua/script_device_outsidetemp_otmonitor.lua?at=master&fileviewer=file-view ...

Re: Python logging+graphing to optimize central heat efficiency

Hi Thinkpad, [...] Hope you can help me, [...] Hi, It has been too long ago for me to remember how it worked. I now use a OTGW (Opentherm Gateway) to monitor my 'CV-ketel'. No need to tape sensors to the pipework, just use the data coming from the heater itself. See http://gathering.tweakers.net ...

Re: WhatsApp notification

I see i had already replied earlier to this topic. The reason i never tried it, is because it is not allowed by the terms of WhatsApp. And i didn't want to risk that my 06-number would get blocked by WhatsApp. I now use Pushover for all my notifications. That is only from home automation >> phone ...

Re: Connected my doorbells to Domoticz (relays + cheap remote)

The diode (marked 'D1' in the schematic) does a single rectifying step which makes the AC, DC :) Optocoupler is also possible, but when i tried that, i had some difficulties in letting it work correctly. I read somewhere that it needs enough voltage to go 'fully open'. A relay was easier for me. And ...

Re: Send OTGW command from bash script

What is the reason you have the OTGW in Domoticz? You could also run the otmonitor-daemon on your system, this daemon also has a onboard webserver with a page that accepts serial commands. Then setting the TC would be something like http://ip/command?TC=19 You could put that URL in the OnCommand of ...

Re: Withings WS-50 Scale Syncer - Temperature & CO2

Why would you want to write directly to the domoticz.db database? Seems like a very failure-prone situation to me. If you're not careful, you could mess up your whole database... Just create virtual sensors and put the data in them by calling the JSON API of Domoticz from your script (which is a ...

Re: [ESP8266] Commercial H801 WiFi RGB-dimmer topic

This firmware looks interesting: https://eryk.io/2015/10/esp8266-based-wifi-rgb-controller-h801/ Using a simple http call to the device on http://192.168.0.xx/rgb/ff0000 it is possible to send RGB values in HEX and let the color of the leds change to this color. It seems this: https://github.com ...

Re: 'ThinkTheme' - a new flat design theme

My theme is available for the developers to include in Domoticz, no problem. But i don't want to have the responsibility for it, i don't have enough coding knowledge to fix CSS-problems and such. Also, i have moved to the Zipato Zipabox a few weeks ago (Dutch explanation here , if interested), which ...

Re: Intertek 750061455010X10 Wireless Switch Unit

Try creating a switch using the 'ARC' protocol and a random ID. Then put the unit in learning mode and click the 'Test' button in the popup that opened when you are creating the switch. The older Eurodomest set i had from Action worked fine that way. I couldn't get the included remote to work, but i ...

Re: Strange Data P1 Readings.

Could it be that the 'Bray's terminal' software inverts the data? For my meter it was needed to solder an BS170-transistor + 10K resistor in the dataline (see my topic under 'Meters' subforum) to reinvert the data to a readable format.
