what is the advice everything in a docker container (domoticz, MQTT auto discovery ), or just domoticz not in a docker container
I'm running version 2025.1 on a Pi3B, Z-Wave usb JS UI with Snap, RFXcom, P1, Enphase, Intergas, Xtend, Daikin, MQTT Auto Discovery, and Weather Underground

I bought an 8GB Pi5 with a 256GB SSD to replace my Pi3B with an 8GB SSD. What's the best way to and install and transfer everything, including data, to the Pi5?

I'd love to change everything, but I'm dreading the data I have from 2017 onward and all the devices that don't allow the conversion to work properly. I'd be disappointed if this data were lost.
I currently have a Pi 3B with an 8Gig USB flash drive connected, and the 8Gig is getting a bit cramped.

The hourly backup can be disabled by removing the hourly folder in domoticz/backups. Then you only get the daily and monthly backup.


I have tried to remove the 'hourly' directory in domoticz/backups/, however that does NOT disable the hourly backup. The directory is automatically recreated ...

I don't know if it's related to this problem. The only devices with RFXMeter do show up in utility, but the Lacrosse TX3 and Depressure and the rest don't show up in temperature or switches.

with this command sudo snap refresh zwave-js-ui --channel=latest/candidate I went from 9.26.0 to 9.31.2 without any problems
I now saw the message new version available 10.1.3 this command no longer works sudo snap refresh zwave-js-ui --channel=latest/candidate anyone an idea how to adjust this ...

If I want to switch to Docker on my PI3b, I can have it installed at the same time and keep the data and then remove Snap

Since you did not install docker compose the normal way (see our wiki) and using snaps? This indeed complicate things
You could make a bash script that you can execute in a docker compose folder to update it.

To see your version and the available updates use :

sudo snap info zwave-js-ui

To do the update to the latest stable version use :

sudo snap refresh zwave-js-ui
