Horrman Ecomatic and Fibaro FGR221

Post by teo1966 »

Hello,
I would like to control my Hormann Ecomatic with a Fibaro FGR221 V1.9.
See https://www.robbshop.nl/domotica/projec ... garagedeur
But I can't get it to work with the pulse switch.
the Fibaro FGR221 they use is version 2.1 does that matter ?
anyone have an idea

I did something like this on my Horman garage door as well, but with another module type that could be powerer with usual 220Vac or 24Vdc... Latest being the door engine internal supply.

This dry contact type relay was just wired in // of local push button but, as probably your case, was not working when internally configured as pulse: IMO, pulse duration was too quick to be noticed by door logic. I worked around this issue by configuring relay as simple on/off and, in domoticz switch configuration, an auto-off after 5s.

This does the job since many years. Maybe you have same issue with another device?

Something nice with my module (Qubino ZMNHND1) is on-module IO that was there for a local command as it's primary function could be configured just for report (so made independent of any relay action). Combined with the 24Vdc power supply, this allowed me to use the door IO that could be configured (a dip switch to change) to report door lock (primarily intended to control some optional Horman peripherals) as power used for IO level comparison were on par.

=> One module to control open/close and report door state, all being wired internally using terminal blocks.
