Did you adjusted the new PATH environment, I guess it is missing the venv path as first option:
/opt/venv/bin:/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/bin

After I changed this for my Docker container setup I did logged in to the console and:
echo 'install tinytuya'
pip3 install ...

I think the documentation could use some extra text for what is considered "the device was changed"

Luckely it does not only seems to be a state change, but also a last seen (like for a one button "On" switch), but what else

I miss a "UI Read Only" checkbox for sensor style on/off open/closed switches, like a door contact.
I do want do be able to set it with non-UI actions of course, like for a virtual switch.

It makes no sense to me to be able to click on it to change the state, and the protected popup is annoying in ...

Confirmed, the mentioned solution here is the best one found sofar.
A method using master/slave does do the open/close toggle but it is not logging the state in the switch' log.

Tips:
When successful implemented, set the devices "Front door open (event)" and "Front door close (event)" as hidden ...
