Re: Domoticz + LightWaveRF Generation 2 [868mhz] Transceiver
Thanks for your reply simonrg. Replies in-line below... I rebuilt my house in 2013 so replaced everything with LightwaveRF 1 and Domoticz, great no real issue with 1 way 98% of the time, but yes 2 way would be nicer. If I did it again, I would remove all the light switches and put relays in the ...

Domoticz + LightWaveRF Generation 2 [868mhz] Transceiver
Evening All! As part of my house decorating project this year, I'm looking to replace all my standard plug sockets and light switches and go down the LightWaveRF route - ZWave doesn't seem to be particularly big in the UK. I've got an Echo Plus [it was cheap] and some Xiaomi Smart Home sensors and ...

Re: RE: Re: Xiaomi Smart Home Suite (very cheap) compatibilty?
It tells me too much I guess. Tried to follow some tutorials, but I can't figure out what to do or even where to start. I'll report back tomorrow after trying the Samsung to regenerate a password. Edit: OK, got the tip to use "ip.src==192.168.0.24" as a filter and it showed me a lot of (red) UPD ...

Re: Xiaomi Smart Home Suite (very cheap) compatibilty?
Wireshark will tell you a lot. You want to add an IP filter for your Gateway and perhaps see if there are any connection attempts to it from your Domoticz IP.

Re: Xiaomi Smart Home Suite (very cheap) compatibilty?
Maybe try a install of Domoticz on Windows rather than Synology? That may get you a step closer.
Alternatively, you could try Wireshark.

Re: Xiaomi Smart Home Suite (very cheap) compatibilty?
I don't use Chrome but can you not install Android apps under Chrome, or perhaps you could do it under an Android emulator if you can't wait until tomorrow. I don't know if the Gateway runs a web server but I haven't probed it to be honest. It could worth using Wireshark to see if there are any ...

Re: Xiaomi Smart Home Suite (very cheap) compatibilty?
If the Apple app works fine with the Gateway but Domoticz doesn't then the two obviously can't communicate.
It could also be that something on Synology is using port 9898 already. Installing Darkstat might help to highlight this.

Re: Xiaomi Smart Home Suite (very cheap) compatibilty?
Other than restarting your Gateway I don't know what else to suggest I'm afraid. My issues yesterday were that I'd not enabled the LAN Protocol, and then before that the Gateway app couldn't talk to the Gateway because of my rather complicated firewall setup. Once I'd got those out of the way then ...

Re: Xiaomi Smart Home Suite (very cheap) compatibilty?
Maybe give your Synology a reboot, not sure to be honest. Mine is running on Ubuntu so it's a bit different but it sounds like you've done everything fine. Failing that, it might be worth removing the gateway from Domoticz, reading the Wiki again and doing it step by step. That helped me yesterday ...

Re: Xiaomi Smart Home Suite (very cheap) compatibilty?
The password thing is strange. I've gone back into the password screen on my gateway in the Android app, hit the button to generate a new password and you are correct in that on Android the password is a mixture of lower case characters and numbers. Have you tried the password all in lower case in ...

Re: Xiaomi Smart Home Suite (very cheap) compatibilty?
Inside the Gateway app when you enter the section called 'local area connection protocol', you should see the password but did you also enable 'local area connection protocol'? ...I'm on Android btw so I don't know if it looks different in the iPhone app. Also, do you have your Firewall enabled on ...

Any UK users of the smart plugs here? If yes then which solution have you gone for to convert the plug to UK on both sides?

Re: How to update a virtual 'Instant+counter' sensor with Lua
Hi there I hope you don't mind me hijacking your thread with a quick question, I've been speaking to a friend about Domoticz and HA and he's interested in collating data on both what his panels generate, and how much power he is using but without the use of a Smart Meter. Looking at your sensors ...

Re: Xiaomi Smart Home Suite (very cheap) compatibilty?
Based on other people's experience with the Xiaomi kit, are you happy with it and would you buy it again? Or would you prefer to spend a bit more money and buy a bit more of an off the shelf solution such as Smart Things? ....I'm looking to take the plunge and have had my eye on the Xiaomi stuf for ...
