Re: Daily Energy usage cost

good idea, if you got the energy bill of last year, you can probably just add a markup for the fixed costs like meter rent, delivery&transport costs etc to the price per unit

Re: Aurora theme

Thanks for the theme, it is working pretty well, even on small raspberrypi screens. One thing to consider: if running Domoticz behind a reverse proxy, the json calls do not work properly as the URL for the calls seems to be hardcoded. So I had to change the hardcoded parts in the custom.js as well ...

Re: Problems with taking snapshots and sending notifications.

Hello, I am also using the camera snapshop blockly, but the delayed one. So my first action in the event is to open the API URL on the camera to move it into the proper position to take the snapshot with an "Open URL" action, then I am using the "Send Camera Snapshot XXXXX with subject BLA after N ...

Re: Help with multi zone heating script?

I have setup the additional relay as switch in my domotics (I am using a piface relay to switch the low voltage control line from my thermostat to the circulation pump) and using this code in one of my scripts to control the heating, note that I am first triggering the pump to switch on as there are ...

Probably this is right, but coming from an Octacore AMD HTPC with a S-ATA RAID, two DVB-S cards, major PCIx VGA and another digital PCIx SoundCard, this still is an energetic improvement :D

Re: Read only Raspberry Pi OS to prevent corruption

I have migrated my root filesystem to an external USB drive with 500GB once my setup was up and running. This avoids the issues with symlinks or other small tricks you can do to "save" your SDCard. As the BOOT filesystem practically is read only and once the pi has booted into the OS, the SDCard ...

the same here, I migrated over to the Google Maps API for calculating my travel times, looks a lot more stable as well, Waze was frequently giving me 503 errors when querying the API

if I can see it right on multiple images on Google, the Multical seems to have IR diodes integrated, so probably you can read this with a propetiary Kamstrup IR tool?

Re: Traffic with waze in Domoticz

no worries about being BL'ed by Waze: I am running these sensors since last year June every minute for three different location pairs, next to regular 503 errors in the log there is nothing happening in regards to blacklisting on the Waze side....

HOWTO | City Heating (Stadswarmte) usage calculation

Hello to all, based on my previous thread about City Heating (Stadswarmte), I have now developed a script solution which can calculate the actual heat consumption and heating power in Domoticz and LUA, just based on a few variables and without using additional hardware than I already had in my home ...

Re: extrapolate / calculate values from counters in LUA

I made some progress since yesterday, now I am able to do the calulation in the script and write this to a custom sensor in Domoticz, this is my current LUA code: local timer_device_ID = 126 local TotalMinutesOn = otherdevices_svalues['Circulatiepomp Timer'] commandArray = {} if otherdevices ...

extrapolate / calculate values from counters in LUA

Hi to all, I am long time user of domoticz and now starting to develop my own concepts for LUA scripting as this is the only way to make calculations based on device values in Domoticz, at least to my understanding. I'd actually like to calculate the energy consumption of my city heating ...

Hi,

how about taking a different approach on that issue and assigning fixed ID's to the USB devices ?

There is a nice wiki article about that:

native SSL support - disable insecure encryption ciphers

Hi to all, did anyone already try to disable insecure encryption ciphers on the native SSL support in Domoticz? Background: I've scanned my local Domoticz with the SSLLabs SSL Server Test and it came to surface, that the rather insecure RC4 ciphers are still negotiated towards the client device/ TLS ...

Re: Domoticz HTTPLINK --> INFLUXDB --> GRAFANA

Hi If you look into the data collected in InfluxDB, you will see that the idx of the smartmeter has multiple value fields: nvalue svalue1-5 this is an example GRAFANA query to retrieve the current usage in watts, you probably need to replace the idx value to make it point to your own idx: SELECT ...
