3 position switch with a bathroom fan

Post by jochem25 »

Hi,

I want to switch my bathroom fan remotely (and intelligent) with domoticz. So i thought about buying a kaku ACM-3500-2 switch and an aeotec multisensor. The fan had also 3 wires / positions, but I am reading in the manual that I can put only at 1 port at a time 230v.

I am a bit afraid that when an off signal from rfxcom433 is not recieved by the kaku switch that there is power on two wires, what will damage the fan.

does anybody know a good solution for this?

Maybe you can use a blinds switch (rolluik schakelaar).
This kind of switche only connect contact one or two, never two at the same time.

Do you have a Itho fan? If yes, is hi-low not enough?
In my case it’s sufficient.

I have a Ruck tube fan for my bathroom.
hi-low is enough, I don`t need three positions

Now you have to know how the fan electrical works before you can manage a solution.

it doesn`t need a pwm.
With the blinds switch it will work. I need only 1 and 3

I think the simplest solution is to use a cheap Zigbee or more expensive Z-Wave switch that drives a normal 220 volt relay with changeover contact.
