Hi,
Anyone have any recent or past experience on using the Horstmann / Secure SSR302 dual channel and SSR301 single channel heating / hot water actuators within Domoticz.
I currently have a couple of Drayton Lifestyle Programmable Time clocks the Horstmann / Secure SSR302 and SSR303 would be a great option to replace these for controlling my heating zones and how water within Domoticz.
I have search around the forum but looking for some recent experiences and wondered if anyone would like to share their thoughts.

Re: Horstmann / Secure SSR302 dual channel and SSR301 single channel actuators
Just got the SSR302 from Vesternet and it's a terrific unit. My SSR302 is replacing manual Drayton Lifestyle Timer/Programmer for my radiators and hot water. Both the Drayton and SSR302 use the same backplate which made installation really easy and fast. Also my wiring on my system matched so no rewiring either.
I am using the SSR302 on Domoticz running on a Raspberry Pi and it works flawlessly. Including the SSR302 was easy and it appears as 4 devices in Domoticz. 2 x Thermostat Mode devices (Zone 1 and 2) and 2 x Switches (Zone 1 and Zone 2).
Controlling the SSR302 from Domoticz is really easy just turn on/off the Switches for ether Zone 1 or Zone. When using it like this the SSR302 will NOT enter failsafe mode. This is great as usually the device needs to be re-confirmed with repeated ON signals otherwise. So no need to use delays, scripts or any other logic control. So it possible to use Domoticz timers straight from the switch for the zone 1 or 2.
Controlling the SSR302 from Domoticz using the the Thermostat modes as two options for each zone, OFF and HEAT. Setting to heat will also switch on the zone however as this is a thermostat mode operation if no further request for HEAT is made the unit enter failsafe mode for that zone and switches of that zone.
One final point the SSR302 doesn't report back the Zone on/off status if manually switched on at the devices by pressing the green and red buttons. Do fix this just make sure you "Enable Polling" in Domoticz for the device and this will fix that issue.
