Hi!
I just received my zigate usb version, Im running the latest stable version of domoticz.
I have installed the zigate plugin and plugged the zigate device in my raspberry, but i cant seem to connect to the device itself, i get this error message:
2019-08-26 15:42:22.321 Error: (Zigate) - unplug/plug the zigate
2019-08-26 15:42:27.379 Error: (Zigate) Plugin is not started ...
2019-08-26 15:42:27.379 Error: (Zigate) - Communication issue with the Zigate
2019-08-26 15:42:27.379 Error: (Zigate) - restart once the plugin, and if this remain the same
I have tried all of the usb alternatives in the plugin but it wont connect, or do i need to flash the zigate with any firmware before i use it or should it work sout of the box?
I have also tried all of the usb ports in the back of my raspberry with no luck.
Thanks in advance.

hi!
i managed to get it to work, but it seems like the version of domoticz that i use: 4.10717 dont work, it seems to freeze some minutes after i have managed to pair an Ikea lightbulb, after that i cant start domoticz without it freezing in the starting fase.
im getting an error message in the log where it says that the webserver doesnt work with my domoticz version,
i have installed the latest beta version of domoticz and the zigate seems to work as it should, but the new problem is that i cant get the z-wave network to work ok, suddenly my z-wave battery modes have disappeard, so i guess that the beta version wont work for me, is there a fix so i can use the old stable domoticz version with Zigate?

If you have several USB devices connected, you must configure your OS to have always the same device name for each USB devices.
This is an OS Linux configuration. Have a look to udev feature

and then when i try to ad an zigbee device the whole domoticz freezes and need to be rebooted,

The webserver message is not an error. The plugin is just telling that the web part is not supported with such version of domoticz.
To get a full supported plugin web part, you need to put a beta version of domoticz.

Please provide the logs , we cannot really help you without.
Just attach the log file ( we need the all context)

Thanks you for your help, ok so it is not the web error i get in the stable version of domoticz, it seems like when i have openzwave (aeotech gen5 stick) and the zigate plugin activated at the same time , then domotics freezes, if i turn of openzwave plugin everything seems to work fine with the zgate, but as soon as i start openzwave domoticz freezes.

I don't see any issue here.
At start, the plugin is setting the Zigate in pairing mode for 254 seconds ( which means the Blue Led will flash during that time , indicating that pairing is possible).
What I see, is for now you don't have any device paired and known by plugin.
As you have Domoticz 4.10717, the plugin webserver is not reachable (you might use a ssh tunnel way to reach it); or upgrade domoticz to a version above 4.10901
Now, I don't know how Zigate behave when downgrading firmware
As I mentioned earlier in the post, as you have 2 or more USB devices connected to your system, you might be in trouble after a restart where the ZWave key is going to the Zigate port and vice-versa.
You need to make sure that after a reboot each of your USB stick stay on the same device-port ( /dev/tty.... ) that could be the reason of your freeze.

Yes, i will try that dev/tty in the weekend.
Strangely enough so everything works great in the latest domoticz beta, no freezes at all, but there is my other problem with the open z-wave. The devices are all fucked up, but ill dive into that to.

I have now assigned the usb ports but domoticz still freezes, but i was thinking if it might be the zigbee channel?, vit is now set to 11, but how can i change it to 12? Just to try?

To change the Zigbee channel you need to use the Web Admin interface on port 9440 and go to Settings.
