I try to avoid wifi stuff. Too hackable.

@blauwebuis, what do you mean by to hackable? Why is a Wifi plug more hackable than for example the z-wave (or 433 mhz, which is far more hackable)?

Next to that, I saw the Coolcam Motion sensor wifi version also, don't know if that one is implemented in Domoticz?

You can flash Tasmota to it...

Just a gentle reminder:

These things have the ability to call their China Homeland Address :D , and z-wave does not.
Although I've seen them call an IP in Germany as well.
-> Tasmota nice solution, but takes some time for this plug.

In potential these things could be infected remotely. (unless you block them fron internet access ofcourse). As they probably have an IP on your main lan ... the intruder could also be on your main lan.

In addition they are not implemented in Domoticz yet,
Setting them up (search for TUYA plugin on the forum) and extracting the device keys take a lot of time.
And I noticed that these devices are constantly yelling (broadcasting) on my network.

For a bit additional money you have a working z-wave solution. :D

I theory it should take 3 minutes to flash Tasmota, and if you're lucky, you don't even need to unscrew it... https://github.com/ct-Open-Source/tuya-convert
