Hello everybody,
I've bought a fairly popular RGB LED stripe on Amazon and connected the wires for RGB to the corresponding outlets of the Fibaro RGBW Dimmer (Domoticz recognized FIBARO System FGRGBWM441 RGBW Controller). So there's no wire to the W outlet for white color. Currently this leads to the situation that when I want to create white light (which worked via the remote control of the stripe by mixing the three colors), the stripe turns off. This is expected, since the channel for white is not used.
The manual states that in FIbaro's smart home software one should set the dimmer as RGB (or RGBW if one has that stripe) and then it would work appropriately. In Domoticz I haven't found this option, however, and my only try was to set parameter 14 to 1110 hex (4968 dec) without luck.
I am actually not sure, whether Domoticz should "translate" white into the three RGB colors and tell the dimmer about the right code or whether the dimmer itself has an RGB mode.
Any help and suggestions of how to have a RGB stripe work with the RGBW dimmer would be welcome.
Not to forget: I am running the latest beta of Domoticz on a Debian Linux system (x86_64).

I put here also what I wrote in the other thread to keep a line of all
in the instruction manual, half second page, you are invited to open another document with other specs for non fibaro system
I do NOT read manuals....
but if you have a look at it, about parameter 14 you can read:
But.. in the color picker I have a radio button with RGB and White...
if I select RGB and select white.... I have all 3 colors lighted up...
(i do not need this and never tried before because I have a separate white led stripe connected to a different line)

so my previous tentative to set 1110 (4968) cannot be made!If RGB/RGBW mode is chosen, settings for all 4 channels are
identical. Settings marked with X are forbidden and cannot be sent
to the module

Hello emmo,
as suggested in the other thread I opened it here again to keep separate from the other issue. I might miss the irony, but I still don't get from your post how to enable the RGB stripe with the controller. In the color picker I do not see a radio button for RGB selection. The only buttons I see are on and off.
Do I miss something?

Hello emmo,
ah - thanks for the clarification. Unfortunately I still have the same result on RGB stripe. When I select white the LEDs turn off. No luck with this setting.
Cheers!

Hello all!
I quick "up" on this topic! I have the same issue: bought a Fibaro RGBW controller to control a 3-wire RGB strip. When trying to set it to white, the stripe turns off...
Can't understand why there is not a simple parameter to set RGB/RGBW behavior... @antares, were you able to configure your controller?
