RFXCom not working on synology DS214Play

Hi,

I get an error when I connect the RFXCom transceiver on my NAS DS214Play

RFXCOM: Using serial port: /dev/ttyUSB0
Error: Serial port closed!... Error: End of file

My NAS is the 214play with the RFXCOM transceiver on /dev/ttyUSB0. The error occurs with both, the stable and the beta release. The stable release crashes the webserver. The last Beta release ignores the error but Domoticz logs the error every 30 seconds. I've tried the 1005, 1006a but also the 250 and the 251 firmware versions. All with the same result.

Any Ideas on how to solve this?

I had similar until I rebooted my DS215j with the device attached (read that somewhere else on here, don't have the link to give credit I'm afraid)

another tip, if you open a ssh terminal, issue

dmesg

now plugin the transceiver

type again

dmesg

you should see it is inserted and which usb port it is assigned to
