Xiaomi Smart Home Suite (very cheap) compatibilty?

Post by joebar »

Just tried it too, voltage is discovered, percentage and lux. Audio etc too.
the previous discovered sensors like door and motion needed to be deleted and discovered again otherwise the status would not be updated. (It now contains more fields)
But after 2 or 3 status changes those never changed again. The log does see the sensor status, but it is not reflected in the switches.
Tried with a empty database, same.. lux updates only once an hour, I revered to the April 1 git beta and all working again.
Great work, will try again soon

Nice addition indeed. If I understand well, you could use the gateway as a doorbell for instance? Keep up the good work :)

Not anymore with the new functions. The xiaomi gateway contains a number of sounds that can easily be triggered by a script or scene.
So, use a switch device, trigger a sound in the gateway and done..

You mean in the latest beta or beta in the future. I see no options with the latest beta

+ personnalise sound (don't know yet what is the limit on full free sieze available or if there is a limit of number, if some one an test this and provied infomation this can make us a real big step forward)

Volume value can be controled to adding : "vol":0-100 to your write data command (slider on domoticz)
https://github.com/deennoo/lumi-gateway-local-api provied you all usefull option (will translate chinese to english)

how to test sound ? easy compile domoticz from this source : https://github.com/corbinmunce/domoticz following this guide : http://www.domoticz.com/wiki/Linux#Comp ... z_binaries no help on this, you have to use the good source from corbin

Just remember that a pre-beta, don't complain about problem except if you have a solution (use issue on github), all change on this will be report on official beta when all is ok.

Edit the switch button how? I can edit mine ok but it would likely break some functionality.
I switched the type from "selector" to "on/off" and after that I couldn't press the editbutton anymore. I got it working again by removing and readding the device.
BTW: Is it confirmed, that the xiaomi zigbee plug works as an repeater? And is there any way to add more than one gateway to domoticz? I've two, but the second-one is not displayed (probably because they use the same port?).

mvveelen wrote:It tells me too much I guess. Tried to follow some tutorials, but I can't figure out what to do or even where to start. I'll report back tomorrow after trying the Samsung to regenerate a password.

Edit:

OK, got the tip to use "ip.src==192.168.0.24" as a filter and it showed me a lot of (red) UPD packets.

I deleted the app from my iPhone and installed the app again. Logged in and had to add the gateway and sensors again. So I did. But, it asked me to upgrade the firmware again (?). So I did. After I added the sensors, it showed me the sensors in Domoticz !!
I added them and they work fine.

But....still no gateway in the devices list. Could this be due to the password? Or is the password OK because I see the sensors?
If so, why can't I see the gateway itself in the devices list?
Glad you got it sorted mate. These things are sent to test us ;)

maybe a little bit of topic but I'm going to ask:
A few days ago while looking for the Xiaomi door sensor I came to a page where someone has find out which pins are connected and how you can connect your existing doorbell to the door sensor so you could see it in Domoticz also. I thought that I stored this webpage but obviously i didn't.
Does someone know what I mean or can help in another way? Would be appreciated.
Best regards Bert

I'm sorry but I not able to compile from source corbinmunce version.
what I do:

domo@domo:~$ cd domoticz
domo@domo:~/domoticz$ git remote -v
origin https://github.com/corbinmunce/domoticz.git (fetch)
origin https://github.com/corbinmunce/domoticz.git (push)
domo@domo:~/domoticz$ git status
Sul branch master
Your branch is up-to-date with 'origin/master'.
nothing to commit, working tree clean
domo@domo:~/domoticz$ git pull
Already up-to-date.
domo@domo:~/domoticz$ cmake -DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=Beta .
domo@domo:~/domoticz$ make -j 4
domo@domo:~/domoticz$ ./domoticz
2017-04-04 14:16:28.135 Domoticz V3.7150 (c)2012-2017 GizMoCuz
2017-04-04 14:16:28.135 Build Hash: 21fc8a1, Date: 2017-04-04 13:07:41
2017-04-04 14:16:28.136 Startup Path: /home/domo/domoticz/

What is wrong?
Thanks in advance.

Resolved: when connected via web, domoticz says there is an update, updated via web and found all new devices.

thank to @Corbin for the great work!!!
