look to get a weather station and couldnt find much of a "get this it will work great"
I was looking at the acurite
https://www.acurite.com/weather-environ ... n=homepage
but im not sure i need the internet bridge, I just want the info in domoticz so it seems a tad over kill and im not so sure it will be all that easy to get the info in to domoticz.
Also Im not sure i care about a display screen, just from the weather station to domoticz so i can view the info on my phone.
What are you guys using?

well you need to decide how you want to get the data, either directly from the sensors in which case you should be looking weather stations supported by RFXCOM or through Weather Underground for instance which has support already built into Domoticz.
Personally I don't own a weather station so I just use someone elses weather underground station ID which is very close to where I live. My dad has his own weather station and uses his own weather underground station ID in Domoticz.

hmm interesting, i found someone like 2 blocks away on WU, so you're saying I can just pull in that data? I tried screwing with the Weather.IO stuff that seems to be built in and I wasnt really finding any use in it, but, i was probably just using it wrong.
Also I did look at the RFXCOM but I wasnt entirely sure what was going on there. It sounds like it just receives RF signals and has a library of known devices, which seemed fairly limited and also its only in the user manual and seems rather spotty, not against using it, but would prefer to have someone say "im using X and Y to do it and it works well" before i head down that road.

Yes you can just pull data from someone elses station which if there is someone nearby like you say basically achieves exactly the same thing as buying your own station, only it's free and you don't need to maintain it.
The pws: in location should be put there if your connecting to someone elses personal weather station, you just search and get the codes off the weather underground site. Also signup for the weather underground free API key, takes about 5 minutes to setup.

Re: weather startion suggestions
awesome, so i was able to get it added via the local station with an API code but the 'devices' are rather odd to me. much like what you show it seems to combine some things. in my case the the wind speed also has the temp, but the primary for it seems to be the wind speed. In your case i see you have a widget that has the pressure, temp and humidity. how did you make that with all the sub devices?
