Battery level monitoring = default Domoticz functionality?

Post by Awst6000 »

Hi,
Can "battery level monitoring" become default Domoticz functionality?
I mean getting an email when the battery level runs below a certain threshold.

I found some scripts that do this, but they are all for Raspberry Pi. Not for Windows.
To make this default Domoticz functionality, it helps reducing scripts.
Txs.

P.S. I hope that this thread is in the right place.

While we are waiting, I'm developing a Lua script that uses Json to get battery levels, and display the values in dummy devices.
Zwave - Sigma Z+ stick, Fibaro, Horstmann, Neo Coolcam, EUROtronic
RFlink - IR detectors and temperatures
Wifi - YeeLights, ESP32s, Anoop sockets
Zigbee - lots with zigbee2mqtt and ZbBridge

What's wrong with current one?

The only problem I see is that some devices don't update their battery level correctly.
For example: I have 6 Fibaro Smoke detectors. They're all installed in a period of maximum 2 months. Battery levels are 3 x 100%, 70%, 10% and none.
I don't believe in those numbers anymore so I created something to notify me if some of those didn't update temperature for 4 hours.

@Westcott: I'm curious :-)

@Egregius: I found the 'Battery low level'. (I must have overlooked it).
I just set it to 25% instead of the default of 0%

Do I get emails when batteries run low?

I guess depending on your notification settings.
I don't have mail enabled but receive notification on telegram.

I do have email notifications enabled.
I'll test with it these days.
Thanks so far.

Update:
I checked the devices that have a percentage in the device list.
Among them are Cresta TX320 temperature/humidity sensors, but they all show 100%.

Unfortunately the Kaku AMST-606 magnetic door contacts and the Marmitek MS13 don't transmit their battery status.

So no luck for me :-)
