Oké, thanks, so deletion of the zwave-controller (RazBerry) is not enough. I will try it later on....

I recently installed a Rpi with Razberry board for a friend of mine. His Razberry card also whas not detected right. After following the following staps it was detected as the razberry board:

1 In domoticz hardware set razberry as inactive and click on apply
2 ssh in to the pi and perform following tasks: sudo apt-get update, sudo reboot, sudo apt-get upgrade sudo reboot, sudo rpi-update, sudo reboot
3 in domoticz hardware set razberry as active and click on apply

If this doesnt work try to remove the hardware device and add it back. Fixed the problem here.

Hi,

My few days ago acquired Fibaro FGMS001 Motion Sensor was also showing as unknown first but thanks to the tips here, I got it working :) But now I'm wondering if it is working properly or is there maybe some setting that should be changed as from the log it seems that when motion is detected it is sending at least two on command and often up to five off commands. Example from log:

Code: Select all

Is this expected? Or some parameter I could change? In the short log, there is already around 5000 entries because of this... :|

Thanks.
I followed the instructions and now my 'Fibaro Motion sensor FGMS-001 v3 2' dated march 11th 2016 is recognized perfectly.
And i can configure it.
First thing i did was disabling the motion sensor light.
I'm so happy :)

I have the same issue with the zw5 version. I added the 801 ID in the manufacture specific file. The device can be configured (leds off works) In the open zwave panel no updates of motion are visible. The device only reports to be active once or twice a day. Also no temperature measurement is recorded. Anyone who had similar issues and got it solved? I use Z-stick V2

Here same problem;

The fibaro doesnt work as motion sensor. light, burgler works but not the rest.

hardware:
Z-Wave.Me RaZberry Controller ZWave+
FIBARO System FGMS001 Motion Sensor

i edited the file the manufacturer_specific.xml file and after that i removed the sensor and added it again. that helped a bit to see the configurations and edit this but not to let the motion sensor work.

anybody an idea to get this "new-released" motion sensor to work?

I solved my problems by associate groups 1 to 5 of the sensor (gang motion) to node 1, the controller. The old version of the sensor sends all report by default to node 1 and the new version doesn't. I also got a specific xml file for the ZW5 version from FHEM forum which you have to add to the /home/pi/domoticz/Config/fibaro folder and refer to in the added line in the manufacturer_specific.xml file. Remove the sensor from the controler and after adding the xml file and the reference in the manufacturer_specific file add the sensor back to the z-wave network. I had to restart domoticz to have the changes to work.

Hi Solventus,

I also did the things above and had the same problem as you describe.

I stopped looking for a solution and now have another motion sensor.

althoug i keep an eye on this forum topic for possible solutions.

I tryed also the "domoticz beta update channel" so everything (open zwave) is up2date. no succes...

If somebody finds a solution. please post.

Hi,
My 2 FGMS-001 work OK, but you have to setup the cancellation parameters 6, 22, and 24
Zwave - Sigma Z+ stick, Fibaro, Horstmann, Neo Coolcam, EUROtronic
RFlink - IR detectors and temperatures
Wifi - YeeLights, ESP32s, Anoop sockets
Zigbee - lots with zigbee2mqtt and ZbBridge

What values do you have at the moment for these?
Mine are 30, 30, and 'Tamper + Cancellation'
Zwave - Sigma Z+ stick, Fibaro, Horstmann, Neo Coolcam, EUROtronic
RFlink - IR detectors and temperatures
Wifi - YeeLights, ESP32s, Anoop sockets
Zigbee - lots with zigbee2mqtt and ZbBridge

according to the parameters parameters 6, 22, 24:
mine's are 30, 30, Tamper.

but solventus asked about the motion sensor; not the tamper alarm. the last 2 settings are about the tamper alarm. Or do they also affect the motion sensor beheviour?

The values are:
parameter 6 value 30
parameter 22 value 30
parameter 24 value Tamper
I think that motion sensor is the 00000C00 Sensor.
I have a FGMS-001 V2/7 too. When I include it, the system show 4 devices:
00000x00 motion sensor
00000x28 tamper
0000x03 lux
0x01 Temperature
The V2/7 version works very good.
The FGMS-001 V3.2 show 6 devices.
I think I have a big problem, because I have to include 8 devices V3.2
:(

Right, so I've got what I believe is an FGMS002, which looks exactly like my first sensor. However when I tried to install it I got the message about it not being known.

I added the line to ~pi/domoticz/Config/manufacturer_specific.xml

<Product type="0801" id="1001" name="FGMS002 Motion Sensor" config="fibaro/fgms.xml" />

I then deleted the unknown device, waited overnight and then re-added. That worked and recognised the device. I then waited until last night and sure enough the parameter page appeared and a number of new devices were created. However, I don't know what half of the devices are. Is there a reference I haven't found yet, or can someone here help me.

0401 is obviously the temperature sensor
000403 is obviously the light level sensor

What are 'General, 'Burglar','Sensor','Alarm Level','Alarm Type'

I also am lost in what is what. I have the Gen5 version of the Fibaro Multi Sensor.
After install I have 7 devices:

0000203 Lux
0201 Temperature
00000233 Alarm Type (light/switch)
00000232 Alarm Level (light/switch)
00000235 Burglar (light/switch)
00000200 General (light/switch) - in principle always on
00000228 General (light/switch) - in principle always on

The first 2 are clear.
Burglar seems to be the motion sensor. It works to trigger my lights.
However, as all the others are not clear, I do not know if my conclusion is correct.

Did anyone already analyse? Who can help me to understand what is what?

I am using the ZW+ Gen 5 version of FGMS. I also already own the original ZW (not ZW+) version of the FGMS. I am using latest (compiled from source) Openzwave and Domoticz (i.e. latest as of now) on a Mac using Aeotec ZW+ USB stick.

First, I think the config file has to be updated for the ZW+ version, some of the parameters are different according to the manual from Fibaro. I am trying myself to get it up to date. I see some other comments in other discussions about this also.

But so far, I have the following status:

Temperature and luminance values are being reported and seem reliable. This is working fully as expected.

I have no idea what "General" and "Sensor" devices are for. They don't correspond or change to anything useful. I also have Alarm Level and Alarm Type and I don't know what those will do either.

There is confusion on the "Burglar" device, it is activated "ON" when the PIR motion detector triggers AND it is also activated "ON" when the tamper/vibration device is triggered. That is, there seems to be no distinction between the PIR motion detector or tamper, either will trigger the "Burglar" to become "ON".

In practical terms, it is straightforward to trigger the motion detector alone, but a little tricky to trigger the tamper detector alone (without triggering motion detector at the same time). But I think I managed to test this.

I have set my parameter for the tamper cancellation time to be 20 seconds, and the motion detector cancellation time to be 30 seconds, in order to distinguish the difference.

If I trigger the motion detector alone, I see Burglar goes ON and then OFF after the 30 seconds (actually may be 32 or 33 seconds, becomes the motion detector keeps detecting motion and the delay is between the last motion seen).

If I trigger the tamper, I see Burglar goes ON and then OFF after exactly 20 seconds.

If I trigger both tamper and motion detector together, I see Burglar goes ON and then OFF after exactly 20 seconds, but then I see a second "OFF" event coming later after a further 10~12 seconds or so.

I can provide the full OZW_Log if anyone expert enough can help interpret this.
