Now I have spent many hours trying to figure this out.
Aotec Gen 5 stick uses cdc-acm driver.
It looks like your NAS have an older kernel with an older cdc-acm driver and that's the problem.
I'll try to find a solution, but no promises.
This is the reason i switched form eaontec to a Vision Z stick, this works perfect, the eaon stick didnt on my DS415play
- Aeon Labs USB Stick met Z-wave plus
- Aeotec MultiSensor 6
- FIBARO FGS223
- FIBARO FGWPE Wall Plug
- Neo CoolCam Power plug
- Popp Smoke Detector
- Toon
- Kodi Media Server

Hi!

I think I must have had the beta builds ticked at some point as now it's not updating versions.

Is there a way to get it doing package updates again without uninstalling and re-installing?

Thanks!

Just to confirm, that will enable NON beta updates through again?

Please Help me!

I'm new to this forum, I've got through all the posts but haven't found any explanation about my problem with my USB serial port when I use RFXtrx433E on /dev/ttyUSB0 to pilot somfy rts with my synology (I have no bug with domoticz on windows or with RFXmngr)

my configuration :
dsm 6.0-7274
synology ds1815+
DomoticZ v2.4547 (avoton)
RfxcomE (bios 251)
usb Zwave.me on /dev/ttyACM0 --> ok with Fibaro plugs

Log from DomoticZ
2016-02-26 12:39:29.668 RFXCOM: Using serial port: /dev/ttyUSB0
2016-02-26 12:39:29.668 Error: Serial Port closed!... Error: End of file

I have been read that it should be a problem with right permission on the port ?

I'd be grateful if anyone could suggest something to try to fix this. Many Thanks

Hi all,

When i install the latest Domoticz beta from the Jumbotroll repository on my DS214+, the HTTPS server does not start and says that the 8443 port might already be used. As you can see the HTTP server starts fine.

I have checked the used ports with netstat and the 8443 port is not listed anywhere.

I have tried reinstalling the package after a restart of the server, but the error persists.

Can anybody help me?

Thanks!

Hi all,

Did some more digging on the forum, it seems this is a problem in beta 2.4768 and seems to be fixed in 2.4790, so i will wait for this release from Jumbotroll.

Thanks in advance Jumbotroll!

Hello,

Thank you for this great package. I have one question here about /var/domoticz.log
Every time I reboot my NAS, all previous logs are lost. How can I make it not deleted? I tried graphical interface log menu with no success
Thank you for your help

- and now my problem with the permissions on USB ports is Ok -> I can pilot my Somfy RTS

thank you very much Jumbotroll for new version

Hi Jumbotroll,

Did you manage to find solution for below issue with the aeotec gen5 stick?

If not, I'm considering to buy other zwave usb stick like:
zwave.me or Vision usb-stick.
Do you think one of these will work with my DS112+ ?
Thanks for your support!

You can do a test and telnet or ssh the NAS and type: killall synousbmodemd
Then plug in your device and see if it appears in Hardware meny on domoticz.

Hi,

The 'killall synousbmodemd' command did not help. Actually 'No process was killed'.

Any idea if the Vision or Zwave.me usb stick will give similar problem, or is this problem specific for the Aeotec gen5 stick?

kind regards,
