Question: with the new beta, how can I mark/unmark a switch to be Favorite? Tapping on the star icon does not do anything.

Yes, nothing happens if I tap on the star, whatever screen that is (favorites, all switches, rooms).

What iPhone do you have, and what version of Domoticz are you using?

I'm on Domoticz 2.3530 (latest stable version) and an iPhone 6S. I'm logging In with Pilot on a general user (not admin) account, perhaps that is the issue?

Ok, to answer my own question: the PilotRemote App user needs to have admin rights to be able to mark/unmark switches as favorites.

That's a nice find. And very good to know!
I could "not" display it if user doesn't have admin rights.
Will add it to the feature request list.

Yeah, that's kind of weird because to me, a favorite is something personal. It shouldn't be that an admin tells another user what his/her favorite should be. To me that's up the each user individually and should not be a global setting.

Alas.. that's just how it works. I strongly advocate that Pilot has its own favorite settings and simple ignores the favorites from Domoticz. It is very likely that a favorites list on a mobile device contains different devices than such a list on a desktop computer. On my phone I usually want to control devices and not so much want to monitor water temperatures etc. So on my phone I want a quick list of switches that I am very likely to operate.

So, maybe in a future version of Pilot I can make one (or even more different) favorite lists than can be easily switched depending on my need (like in which room I am chilling). I know you can achieve that with room plans but again, this is a global thing and not a personal thing.

You're right. However not that many people have requested it so far.

Been trying what dannybloe suggested: having relative swipe control when device is on, and absolute swipe when device is off -> it's way too confusing imo and doesn't work well, I'll keep relative swipe as it is in the current beta, see how that goes

However, I'll add a setting so that users can choose between absolute and relative swipe.

Hello,

The app is getting better and better. My compliments and thank you for all your work. Is it possible to hide the roomplans that start with a "$" in the name? In this way we can hide roomplans like used in homebridge.

Thanks for the great app! I used the iOS today widget quite a lot but have now run into some issues when selector switches were added to the picture Therefore I'd like to request that either a) selector switches would be implemented to Pilot (including the today widget) or b) possibility to select the "today widget" devices based on a room plan. And now that I think of it, actually I'd like to see these both implemented as selector switches would be a very nice addition as such and to allow the user to set the today widget devices/sensors etc would be the most user friendly option.

I guess this request is on the same lines as:

maybe in a future version of Pilot I can make one (or even more different) favorite lists than can be easily switched depending on my need (like in which room I am chilling). I know you can achieve that with room plans but again, this is a global thing and not a personal thing.

But I wouldn't mind separating the today widget from favorites so it could contain something different than the actual favorites (or at least a selection of the favorites if there's some stuff that is of no use in the today widget).

I can confirm that the sound now works.
Both on my watch and also on my phone I get sound with the notification.

Yes, correct. The actual method for enabling this is of course entirely up to you (in case it is doable) -using a room plan is just something that came to mind first. But could be done e.g. within the app as well...
