Re: Domoticz, Pi, Z-Wave and heating
Another problem ive had with pairing is mixing up which mode is associate and dissociate via the z-stick button... I spent some time cursing at a device only to realize I was holding down on the button and putting it into disassociate mode instead of taping on the button and putting it in associate.
Try associating them again AFTER you disassociate and/or factory reset first.. sometimes if you get an open box unit or one not reset properly at factory, and it'll struggle to associate because it's still paired with another controller.

Scones, you did not describe if you have actually paired your Z-wave devices with the Aeon stick. Did you do that at all? In contrast to IP-based hardware or 433 MHz devices, Z-wave devices do not appear automatically in the devices list. You have to go into the setup page of your stick, click on "Node management" and select "Include node". Then follow the procedure as described in the manual of your Z-wave device, usually you have to press a pair button in a particular pattern.
Once you have included the devices in your Z-wave network, they will appear in the devices list.

Re: Domoticz, Pi, Z-Wave and heating
Hi mvzut
I'm using one of the Aeon Labs USB sticks with built in batter and activation button. I have paired the device using that as per instructions.
Mayr mentioned about holding the button down too long and putting the device in remove mode instead of add. I was guilty of this, so did it again with only a quick press and release of the button. That still didn't work, although both the LED on the USB stick and on the Fibaro sensor.
I then plugged it back into the Domoticz RPi, and went through Setup -> Hardware and clicked on the Z-Wave USB device and clicked update. However, it still hasn't added anything to the Setup->Devices page.
My next action will be to follow Mayr's advice and find out how to factory reset the USB stick.
BTW, I did manage to add the CamJam Edukit2 temperature sensor to my new OSMC box and now have a room temperature sensor device on my Domoticz. Can't get the movement sensor to work though. It just sits there saying "Waiting for PIR to settle......"

@scones your port is ACM0 instead USB...

I did wonder that, but thought it must be okay as it obtained the details about the stick itself.IDANIT wrote:@scones your port is ACM0 instead USB...
As I've not been able to find out how to reset the stick yet, I'll give this a try tonight

It is not from the stick! NAME "Z-Wave USB" is the name you gave it, TYPE "OpenZWave USB..." is the name and version of OpenZWave software installed in Domoticz. I can add and see same thing as you without stick! Change port to proper USB and solve the problem.Scones wrote: I did wonder that, but thought it must be okay as it obtained the details about the stick itself.

Re: Domoticz, Pi, Z-Wave and heating
I have the same Aeon stick, and I have it configured for ACM0 too. For me this was the only port it worked on.
By the way, Scones, I have never paired devices in the way you mention, i.e. using the pair button on the stick itself. So I don't know if/how that should work in Domoticz. I have only included nodes using the menu.

Re: Domoticz, Pi, Z-Wave and heating
I suspect that one of my problems was a too low amp power supply as when the Z-Wave stick was being used, the RFCOMM started misbehaving too. I replaced a 1.2a with a 2.1a which should be sufficient.
I had tried doing the pairing using the pair button on the stick, and the flashing of the LEDs on both the sensor and the stick seemed to show that it had worked.
I plugged the stick back into my Pi and again went into Setup->Hardware, clicked on the stick and clicked on update. This did nothing. I tried changing the serial port back to ACM0 and Domoticz seemed to hang. When I rebooted the Pi, and looked in Setup-> Devices, the USB stick now appears, which it never did before. However, the Fibaro sensor still doesn't appear.
Does anyone know what I need to do next?
When I went back in to Setup->Hardware and clicked on the 'Setup' button it now shows 2 nodes. One node is the USB stick,
However, the other node appears to be sleeping, and will not wake up. It also doesn't appear to be doing anything

Wait until that red warning goes away, new devices dont tend to be created until all nodes have responded.. sometimes it can take a lil bit.
Underpowered USB would cause all sorts of issues, might consider putting your transceivers on a powered hub.. there is only so much power the Pi's USB can output despite how much power is available at the input.

Re: Domoticz, Pi, Z-Wave and heating
Just to let everyone know. After I updated the node details as described above, the devices finally appeared in Setup->Devices. It did take until the following day for them to appear though.
I'm guessing that changing the settings within the Fibaro device forced it to start reporting light and temperature levels, and once this happened, Domoticz added the devices.
