LightwaveRF won't turn off

Post by Jzjr »

Hello,

My RFXtrx433E arrived today, I have set it up within Domoticz and paired some devices with it. I have one lightswitch (plus one wireless 'slave' device paired) this works as expected with dimming functionality and the wireless 'slave' updates Domoticz as expected. I also have three LWRF wireless plug sockets, within the Domoticz web UI I can turn the devices on but the status does not update therefore when I press again to turn the device off the 'On' command is repeated and I cannot turn the devices off. I use the Domotix app and I can turn the device off from there by first sending the 'On' command via the switch in the app and then pressing again to turn the device off. It seems very strange that I can control from the app but not from the Web UI. I can control one of the plug sockets through an event and a dummy switch, it will turn on and off depending on the position of the dummy switch but as with the other two sockets, I cannot operate it using the switch paired with the socket ('Bottle Warmer CONTROL SWITCH')

Any suggestions, I don't know where to start troubleshooting!

Thanks,
Fred.

Hello,

It appears that Domoticz has created all of the devices with a preceding 00 for example '00040404'. My LWRF dimmer switch works fine with this, my sockets do not. After adding one of my sockets (and trying to switch it with no success), I found that another device was added into the Device page which had the same code apart from it didn't have the preceding 00 so the code was '040404', and then it worked. To do this you must have 'Allow new devices' on the settings page. Then deleting the originally added device and renaming the automatically added device allows the switches to work properly.

thanks for the follow up post - has helped at least two of us out.

Have to ask - Is this a "bug" or are we using it wrong - I appreciate the efforts that people are going to, and maybe I can contribute something as time goes on, but would like to make sure I am using what we have to be fullest

It's a new problem as I tried to add new items today and mine did the same. I never had this problem before. I recently had an update to V2.3530 and it wasn't a problem before the update.
Raspberry PI 3 model B running Domoticz. RFLink, Zigbee2MQTT,
Domoticz V2020.1, utilising 1 wire DS18B20 Digital Temperature Sensors. Running Domoticz Premium android app.
