Fibaro Dimmer 2 FGD-212 supported? New type!
Hello,
On Fibaro.com there is an article about à brand new dimmer. The FGD-212 is direct available in stores now.
New features: power consumption, status led, automatic light detection (led/traditional), scène support etc.
Is this brand new device supported in DOMOTICZ/open z-wave ?

Yes it will, I have got the configuration already done, just waiting for the actual device to be delivered so I can test it and submit it to OZW.

Sure you can find it here https://github.com/xs4/open-zwave/blob/ ... fgd212.xmlmbliek wrote:Could you send me the file? So I can test it when it arrives?
Config section is done, just untested, I am missing the type and id info to identify the device in the manufacturer_specific.xml file.

Can you report the type and id info for the manufacturer_specific.xml file? And possible other issues? so I can complete the config and submit it to OZW?

I'm getting this dimmer today!
What is the best way to test? Just put the .xml from xs4me in the /config/fibaro folder and include the dimmer with domoticz? (no need to change the id?)
Is it safe to do this in my existing stable database or is it better to wait till an experienced user adds this to the ozw database?
"newbie" here but willing to help/share!

The configuration has been submitted to OZW (see https://github.com/OpenZWave/open-zwave/pull/640)
(If you have copied an earlier version, please update.)
I am using the dimmer in a 3-wire setup with a 9.5W led bulb. Works like a charm.

Sounds good! (9.5W led bulb without bypass??)
Does the power metering also work?
I don't know how to update openzwave manually but i just copied over the 2 modified files. Hope that will also work.
Keep you updated!

Yes 9.5W led will work without bypass.
Here are my findings:
2-wire setup:
The Dimmer works correctly from 9.5W without bypass
Everything under 9.5W will need the bypass in a 2-wire setup (but the dimmer is reacting very strange when the dimmer is at 100%, parameter 2 should be at 50%).
3-wire setup:
The Dimmer works correctly from 7W without bypass
Everything under 7W will need the bypass in a 3-wire setup.

Also got it working!
Energy reading works really good.
Using it with 2 gu10 50w halogeen spots at the moment. Will replace them for 2 led spots very soon.
Its also really silent (no humming in the device,my old ones make a lot of noise)
Just out of curiosity, how many devices did it create in you're config? I got 9.
Added just 2 at the moment. (lighting/usage) The others don't seem to do much.. (Heat/Alarm Type/Alarm Level/Power Management/Level/System/Unknown).

Well got them today and I like them. So small so advanced.
Had trouble adding it to my setup but that was due to some corruption (see other topic) Now it is running and no flickering of the (free) led bulb.
Thanks @mbliek for the fast shipping !!
Anyone know how to switch a scene or switch a other z wave module when using a double pulse switch ?
One switches on the light and you can dim it, second button does nothing. Someone figured that part out with domoticz?
