Good to hear!
Is there a possibility or needed to update Open Zwave on Domoticz or is the updated automatically with Domoticz?

Re: New Aeon Labs Multisensor Gen5 not supported in OpenZwav
Today i returned my GEN5 sensor, as it was brandnew and not working at this moment.
I think for now i will use one of my wired alarm system PIR sensors, and fit in a Fibaro binairy sensor which i also have.
The PIR sensors are already installed in the rooms where i would like a motion sensor for Domoticz.
Probably the Firbaro binary sensor can send a "motion" signal to Domoticz.

You can ask these questions on the openZwave site (see link on previous page)
Synology NAS, slave PI3, ZWave (Fibaro), Xiaomi zigbee devices, BTLE plant sensor, DzVents, Dashticz on tablet, Logitech Media Server

Re: New Aeon Labs Multisensor Gen5 not supported in OpenZwav
I understood that the guys from OpenZwave have received a box of sensors and stuff from Aeon Labs to test and configure them in OpenZwave. It's just waiting for them to put and update op the web for us to use...

Re: New Aeon Labs Multisensor Gen5 not supported in OpenZwav
Hi all,
I see this line in the change log : - Pull Request #517 - Add Aeon Labs Gen5 thanks to Ugoviti (Justin)
Perhaps this will soves our problem.
I have compiled the last version on my Pi, but I don't how to "tell" domoticz to use the compiled version (domoticz installed with the RPi image).
Anyone knows ?
Thanks,
Pack

Re: New Aeon Labs Multisensor Gen5 not supported in OpenZwav
ldd shows which libraries are used by a binary. On Debian libopenzwave seems statically linked, i.e. you have to re-compile domoticz in order for it to use the new openzwave library. If I understand the process correctly (don't code in c++ myself), Cmake finds the libraries Domoticz needs.

Domoticz also uses its own copy of the zwave database that is stored in the Config directory by default which most likely doesn't include the definitions for this device that you want to use.

If I understand what you said, we have to wait a new version of domoticz with the last binaires of openZwave.
Can't wait....

Re: New Aeon Labs Multisensor Gen5 not supported in OpenZwav
Gentlemen,
I got it up and running under (stable) Domoticz version V2.2284. The trick that did it for me was to simply put it in place and get it powered through USB. Only after that and not before, I included it in Domoticz the way I said before:
Inclusion of a (new or excluded) node is done by leaving yer Z2 Stick in your hardware device (Raspberry for me) and just press 'Include node' and then the inclusion button on yer Sensor. Through this, it will not only include in yer Zwave network, but also in Domoticz.
Light, temperature and humidity were working straight away. I followed all instructions by IDavid and changed all parameters. Still the motion sensor didn't seem to work. Therefore, I changed parameter 5 back to "Basic Set (default)" and parameter 4 to "Disabled", waited a few minutes, and changed parameter 4 back to "Enabled". That did the trick. When I got back to my computer, I saw my motion sensor had reacted for the first time, and now, only hours later, it's still reacting to motion as it should. In the meanwhile, I just saw the Lux-value slowly drop when darkness fell over the Netherlands...
I'm finally convinced: when using this thing powered through USB, it's a brilliant sensor. Worth every euro for me. I think I'm gonna order a few more.
Good luck!

Re: New Aeon Labs Multisensor Gen5 not supported in OpenZwav
Seems to be officially supported now
Don't know if the xml-file will suffice or that the latest sources from OZW should be pulled (issue-352-Securiry). I think I'll do the latter, just to be sure.Add Aeon Labs MultiSensor Gen5 Config - Tested and Works well

This is still in the security branch of openzwave, which domoticz does not use
still waiting for the final merge, they are working hard on the + system

Re: New Aeon Labs Multisensor Gen5 not supported in OpenZwav
I followed the step mentioned by IDavid,
When i try to change the configuration of the sensor and hit "Apply configuration for this device" the setting do not change at all...
How is this possible?
also i only see these sensors:
and the lux stays at 7. does not in/decrease, even when put a flashlight on it.

Just wondering... How did ye include yer sensor? Because I see your hardware is yer Motherboard, and mine is my Z-Stick. Also I don't recognize the 'burglar' switch...

Nice to hear that : Is it necessary to update open-zwave, in addition to Domoticz ?gizmocuz wrote:latest beta is using the security branch now, hope its working

Re: New Aeon Labs Multisensor Gen5 not supported in OpenZwav
Openzwave is upgraded by upgrading domoticz.
For me the version of openzwave is changed too.
I do not have a gen 5 device do I cannot test it.
