Wallmote error

Post by hjzwiers »

I have a wallmote switch running in my network, and I keep getting the following error:

Error: MQTT Auto Discovery: sending switch commands for switch type 'sensor' is not supported (yet...) (zwavejs2mqtt_0xc803b65d_82-91-0-scene-003/Wallmote_3)

It does switch by the way, but also writes this error, or should I write something in the Zwave JS UI page?

I checked the code, and the command should actually not been send. It returns 'false' after this error message.

Are you using the latest ZwaveJS-UI and Domoticz? When you do, is there perhaps another switch created for this node/button?

I am running the latest version of Zwave JS UI, with a new controller, te new ZWA-2.

I've been receiving this error for a long time, I re-interviewed the node, also searched for a new firmware upgrade running 2.3. It gives the error after running the the switch. I find it strange, i am running the code in dzvents

I have added the code:

if domoticz.devices('Wallmote_3').changed
then
if CheckOn('Light_Auto') then TurnOff('Light_Auto', 'Light_Auto off after switching off wallmote') end
if CheckOn('Light_On_Morning') then TurnOff('Light_On_Morning', 'Light_On_Morning off after switching off wallmote') end
if CheckOn('Light_On_Night') then TurnOff('Light_On_Night', 'Light_On_Night off after switching off wallmote') end
if CheckOn('Light_On_Manual') then TurnOff('Light_On_Manual', 'Light_On_Manual off after switching off wallmote') end
if CheckOn('L_Off_Holiday') then TurnOff('L_Off_Holiday', 'L_Off_Holiday off after switching off wallmote') end
if CheckOn('Light_On_Dark') then TurnOff('Light_On_Dark', 'Light_On_Dark off after switching off wallmote') end
domoticz.log('Wallmote_3 has been triggered',domoticz.LOG_STATUS)
end

Could you test with only one of those lines? Like only with "Light_Auto", maybe it is one of the switches you are trying to turn of

But the wallmote is a switch with multiple button correct? You can not control these with Domoticz, you can only receive the presses

In Domoticz, on the switches, press edit, and set the types to 'Push On', but you should not control them with Domoticz

These buttons you can use in scripts (like dzVents), or you could learn them as activators for scenes/groups

I tried with only one expression behind the command, and it still gave the error. I use wallmote exactly as you described, the switch is set to "Push on button" as you said.

The error you are seeing is when a user/script executes a actual switch command.
This means, when one of the buttons is received from the wallmote/MQTT, this error message is/should never be triggered.

So i expect that one device you are controlling when this button is pressed, is the one causing this issue

Could you disable the event system, and delete the scene/group you made, just to be sure nothing should be send when a button on the wallmote is pressed.

When you now press a button, you should only see a new 'last seen' date/time in the web gui, and you should not receive this error.

When this is ok, now check to see which switch you want to control, which is not a switch but a sensor (like a read-only device, a scene, a button from the wallmote etc)

I did that, made an empty call to wallmote_1, still it writes the error.

I guess i just have to live with the error, @gizmocuz are you certain its not the processing of Domoticz? Its not another sensor causing this error.

Error: MQTT Auto Discovery: sending switch commands for switch type 'sensor' is not supported (yet...) (zwavejs2mqtt_0xc803b65d_82-91-0-scene-003/Wallmote_3)
